He man­aged to dis­place the “God” in the expres­sion “Oh my God”. It’s Robert Pat­tin­son, the vam­pire Edward from the saga Twi­light. Now, the fans of the actor scream “Oh my Edward” (OME!). To inter­view him is like hav­ing a birth­day party; from taps on the back to smal bribes, that go from eter­nal grat­i­tude, vanilla cup­cakes (from fans try­ing to get seats for the screen­ing of his new movie), to a 200 dol­lar bribe, offered (and not accepted) by a tabloid reporter who was at the door of the hotel, hunt­ing for infor­ma­tion on the british actor. In his super pro­tected suite, Pat­tin­son shows him­self as a nor­mal, sen­si­ble, elo­quent and greasy haired guy. In Remem­ber Me, he suf­fers a lot in the role of a Col­lege stu­dent, depressed by the sui­cide of his brother, who gets involved in a trou­bled romance. By the end of his inter­view with Época, the actor cel­e­brates the fact that he bought, through Kin­dle, a com­plete colec­tion of the works of Dos­toiévsky. OME!
