We’ve received many e-mails and tweets today regarding the new pics of Robert Pattinson that came out last night. A while back we did a Respect Rob campaign and people were asking us if we were starting it again. Yes we’ve seen the pics, yes they left us feeling disgusted. However we will not be doing the Respect Rob Campaign again. The last campaign took a huge amount of our time and a lot of effort and the only thing it amounted too was a lot of hate directed towards us. Hate we are still getting once in a while.

Many people have been telling us “We can’t not do anything!” Like the rest of you, we too wish we could do something. So here are some ways to help. Happy Birthday ToR!!!

ToR turns one today Wow times really does fly by doesn’t it? One year and 10 Million page views later (including our WordPress.com blog). I still have no idea how it happened. When I started ToR a year ago on WordPress.com it was mostly to post the videos I was making and some pics. I would post updates on my own Twitter account not on the current ToR Twitter account. Somewhere along the way the site exploded.

I’d like to thank you all because you’re the reason it happened and the reason we do it day in and day out. To those of you who’ve followed us from the start, those of you who are new to the site, those of you who helped us make ToR what it is today. Those of you who sent @replies and e-mails when I came very close to closing the site in March and wanted to give up, you’re the reason I kept going. Because at the end of the day we do it for you guys. To the sites who’ve helped us, I have a lot of names in my head right now  I won’t start naming everyone.  You know who you are A huge THANK YOU!  I really want to thank Late2thePartee from Random Acts of Rob for helping me out from the very start and giving me pointers.

This is in no way related to Rob but we thought it was important to post this on the site. This is a huge ecological catastrophe and the Gulf Coast is suffering badly. If I lived in the area I’d be there in a heartbeat.  The Gulf coast needs help now. Here are the ways you can help.

(CNN) — Efforts to minimize the damage from the huge oil spill from a rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico are under way, but wildlife conservation groups say the oil could pose a disaster for Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida coastal areas.

How can you help? A number of organizations are recruiting volunteers.

The Audubon Society, which is affiliated with the Louisiana Coastal Initiative, is making its Center for Birds of Prey in Florida available for bird cleansing and rehabilitation and is seeking volunteers. Elsewhere, Audubon said it was gearing up to mobilize volunteers and provide assistance as the oil reaches land in Louisiana and elsewhere. Find a local office

The Deep Water Horizon response team is looking for help in identifying shoreline and animals affected. Oiled wildlife should not be captured but instead reported at 1–866-557‑1401. To report areas with oil ashore or to leave contact information to volunteer in the affected areas, call 1–866-448‑5816.

These local organizations also are gathering volunteers’ information as they prepare for the environmental damage this oil can cause:

The Alabama Coastal Foundation is collecting contact information from volunteers for cleanup efforts along the Alabama coast should the oil spill reach the state’s shores. Call 251–990-6002

The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is looking for volunteers to help reduce the potential impact of the oil spill in Mobile Bay. Call 251–431-6409.

The Mobile Baykeeper is asking for contact details of volunteers is collecting contact information for volunteers to respond anywhere along the Gulf Coast, if needed. Call 251–433-4229.

Save Our Seabirds is a Florida bird rescue group that is looking for support as its response team prepares to help oiled wildlife. Call 941–388-3010.

The National Wildlife Federation is looking for volunteers and support to help spot distressed or oiled wildlife, and to assist in the cleanup and restoration efforts along the coast of Louisiana.

In addition to the wildlife specific organizations, others are also looking to assist with the effects of the oil spill.

The Greater New Orleans Foundation, which serves the 13 parishes that comprise New Orleans, has opened the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund, which will offer emergency grants to nonprofit organizations helping the victims of the oil spill, and address the long-term economic, environmental, and cultural effects of the disaster.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana’s mission is to help restore and protect a sustainable coastal Louisiana. They are accepting volunteers and support to assist with spill recovery efforts.

The Gulf Coast states likely to be affected have also set up sites where information about volunteering can be found: Alabama,Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Robert Pattinson Fans Cookbook Project

We are pleased to announce the Robert Pattinson Fans Cookbook project. Robnation.org, is joining forces with Spunk-Ransom.com, Twilightish.com, and Robpattinson.com to create a Rob-themed cookbook where the proceeds will go to help the people of Haiti and the preservation of nature.

The two charities we are supporting with the proceeds are both charities that Rob has supported/supports, YeleHaiti and the World Wildlife Fund. Rob participated in the Hope For Haiti Now telethon which donated some of its proceeds to YeliHaiti, and was recently seen on a video telling a fan the charity he supports the World Wildlife Fund. We will be donating 100% of the profits from the cookbook in the name of our websites, on behalf of Robert Pattinson, on a monthly basis once the book has been completed and published. We will be selling the book on our websites as well as Lulu.com. If you would like to learn more about these amazing charities, I have posted links to their websites below.

We need your help! We are looking for themed recipes that coincide with locations of movies Robert has worked on. As an example, “Little Ashes” was filmed in Madrid so maybe some recipes from Spain. Robert is from London so maybe some recipes from his homeland. “Twilight” was shot in both Canada and Washington so some recipes indigenous to that area. Also recipes can include names such as “Vampire…..” or “Wizard….” Truly the sky is the limit on this one.

It’s been 4 days since a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti, the magnitude of this disaster seems almost incomprehensible for us viewing it through our TV screens. Lives have been lost, many are without homes, food, water and much needed medication. The Haitian capital lies in ruins. Haiti has never had life easy, now their lives, homes, hopes and dreams are laying in the dusts of the streets of Port-au-Prince.

We often feel helpless watching these images from the safety of our own homes. But we can do something. If you can donate, even if it’s only a small amount please do so. Every single dollar counts. We’ve provided you ways to donate here. We’ve used our ThinkingofRob Twitter account to get as much news out there as possible and will keep doing so for the coming days. We believe that at the moment Haiti is much more important than anything else.

Haiti has been hit with back to back earthquakes tonight. The island is devastated. The American Red Cross is requesting your help. If you can donate, even if it’s only a dollar please donate (the link from The American Red Cross is for international donations). Haiti is an extremely poor country and has been hit repeatedly over the past few years by hurricanes.  The island is in dire need of help. You can make your donation here or by following the link from the article below. You can also donate to the Canadian Red Cross.

The Red Cross has set up a system where you can send donations via text, you can donate 10$ by texting “HAITI” to 90999 (see info below) ,  Wyclef Jean has also set up a way to send donations via text (5$). Text YELE to 501 501 .AmeriCare has  donations via text messages. Text “LIVE” to 25383 to donate $10. You can donate 10$ to the Clinton Foundation by texting “HAITI” to 20222.
