in re to amazon.com, has anyone noticed the “written” reviews (PRO’S & CON’S) provided for “bel ami”? the pro’s do not provide any intelligent reason(s) to watch this film other than if you are a RP fan; in other words, there’s not one point made as to why this is a movie worth watching, the performances in particular as to what really stands out, etc. so as to induce the reader to want to buy, rent or view this film…
i just feel that the debacle as rendered through the bungling, mishandling producers as to the advertising, red carpet events, tours, etc. was a nightmare from the get-go, and has cost all the actors involved alot of money and opportunity…i’d like to see the dvd sales go through the roof. while an intelligent review on amazon is not going to be the deciding factor on this, it certainly can’t hurt! and did you notice that “BEL AMI” is not even shown or promoted, package-wise on amazon? i had to type in bel ami, and what if few people have ever heard of it? how will they know to do this…irritating beyond belief…it ALL has an effect..i would write a review myself, but as it was i would have had to fly from midland, texas to scottsdale, arizona to see this film, so have yet to see it..and lastly, let me say that i really resent not having been able to see rob in this film on the big screen; this has all been a cryin’ shame!
maybe some of you who have seen it can correct the written imbalance at amazon.com. ?
