damn he looks good enough to eat YUMMY 🙂
I would be so nervous to approach him, I’d feel like I’d be invasive or something 😦 But to admire him from afar is good enough for me!
I still think this girl is lucky, lucky.
when you think about it, this guy’s life is basically just being asked to have a picture taken with him literally every minute of his day. im sure he appreciates fan pictures way more than the hounding paparazzi (which i wont even get into for my lack of words for those horrid pigs) – but he never gets privacy, which i i guess you never truly value until its taken away from you, especially when its in such a short period of time as in rob’s case. feel sorry for him, its a sad way to live and hard to get through- just praying the man stays positive. wow im sorry i just rambled a whole paragraph together pointlessly even though noone will read it; sorry bye!
I’ve read your text and I’ll even answer. I think when fans meet Rob the should smile and wave at him but not try to speak to him or to ask for photos, not take his time. Asking a photo with Rob is exclusively selfish, mainly because we know that Rob is very nice and he cannot say no. It’s useful only for the fan, it’s boring for Rob even if he would never admit it.
So if we get the luck of meeting Rob, let’s try to smile and wave from a distance and enjoy the privacy we give to him.
Sorry for my English !
I agree. Smile & wave from a distance everyone! There are enough photos of Rob out there, and no one really needs a photo of me other than my family & friends.
completely agree, that was the point i was trying to get across! didnt wanna sound mean or anything though, thank you
Agree, also. A smile and a wave would be a special cherished memory.
I agree with you sabero. I’ve met countless and I use this term loosely “celebrities” over the years even a few Presidents.. I don’t ask for photo’s, I don’t ask for autographs I just talk to them like anyone else. They are flesh and blood people walking the planet just like the rest of us.
It has been my experience that if you treat them like the ordinary people they are they appreciate it much more.( ordinary but talented) I had Mel Gibson standing behind me in line at a yogurt place way back when people still liked him. 😉 He had a couple of his young kids with him and we just struck up a conversation. He was really nice, his kids were adorable. HE held the door for me when I was leaving.. actually he helped his two boys hold the door for me, he said they had to mind their manners. ( be nice).;-)
Most celebs I’ve met are really nice but some have their nose in the air.
So unless I was in position to talk to Robert like standing at a bar getting a drink or something I’m not going to go out of my way to get to him.. IF there was eye contact though I may just melt in a puddle on the floor. 😉 ha! LOL
Love that he always been nice to his fans.
Hope he’ll have nice and long career.

IMO there is a way to approach Rob as there is to approach anyone, treat him like anyone you’d meet on the street or in a bar, strike up a convo and don’t fangirl..but I am not gonna say no pics cos I dunno what I would have done. But he seems to be quite happy to meet fans rather than having the pesky paps snapping away. Same with the Remember Me commentary, they mocked the paps but not a single bad word about the fans there. Even we did see the pics and heard the craziness..they only bitched about the paps. That says something..
Guys lay off the fans okay?
I’m still on an adrenaline high. Rob was so lovely in person, very softly spoken and polite. He asked me my name when he gave us an autograph too. I told him it was lovely to see him back in the Uk and that we had missed him. I told him about the Facebook Group I am an admin of “Robert Pattinson…It’s always been him” and about a welcome home gift the admins had sent him. He asked me where I’d sent it and I told him to his Agents in London. He laughed and said Oh. I said I was really looking forward to Bel Ami coming out and wondered when it would be released….he said “I know…me too”. Later that evening he was outside having a cigarette and I was outside too, a couple of other fans were getting pics so I asked if he wouldn’t mind me having a pic and he was happy to oblige, he said “sure”. I told him about a Ren & Stimpy tshirt we sent him as part of his welcome home gift and and he laughed. I said you must get really fed up of people asking you for pics and that I was sorry to ask and said he didn’t mind, it was okay and he meant it. When we went back in to the church for the rest of the gig I was at the back buying a Marcus Foster CD then the gig started and someone had pinched our seats so we stood at the back and Rob, TomStu and Marcus Foster stood literally right in front of us I could have touched him without even stretching. His hair is growing back nicely and his beard is really quite long now. He looked as if he’d lost a little weight but still looked gorgeous. As he walked away after about 1/2 hour to go outside for a cigarette, a fan letter to Kristen fell out of his pocket. He didn’t see it fall so I picked it up and touched his arm to get his attention to give it back to him. I said “you dropped this”….he didn’t hear me because the music was loud so he said “sorry?” so I had to get up close to say it to him again. I passed him the letter and he said “thanks”. When we left later he was outside having a chat and a beer with his buddies, so we just walked past and had to go home. I’m still on cloud 9, this is the stuff dreams are made of, in fact this was better than the dreams I’ve had!! What a night, one I’ll never forget.
Thank you for sharing your story Lynn. I can feel your excitement through internet waves. 😉
I think you handled yourself very well. It really was kind of you to give back the letter as there are a few out there who would have kept it just for the sheer fact it was in his pocket.
why doesnt he shave like he’s supposed to lol but i still love him lol .x
Rob hates to shave! When he doesn’t have to work..he just lets it go. It just makes him look more mature.
I like clean shaven also, but have to admit he looks pretty damn hot with the beard. And older. Maybe he still thinks it’s a disguise. :-))
HE.NEEDS.TO.SHAVE!

Rob is to polite to having saying ‘no’ to taking pixes with him. But, he surely must be tired of having to take pixes with fans and give autographs. He may think, without these fans, I won’t be where I am today…so appreciatively, he obliges.
I love how sweet Rob is to the fans. I got chills thinking that the fan was so close to him for 1/2 an hour within touching distance! That was a good fan encounter, but I would never approach him, just bask in his glory for however long he was there. I just don’t belong in his world (hahaha).
When I see him with the beard I want to give him the nickname “Grizzly Bear”.
Really sounds like Rob is just a nice guy who doesn’t truly mind and if he did he would speak up! Let’s let him decide his life and who gets a pic or autograph and who doesn’t/ Come on ladies lay off the fans. none of us have ever had the wonderful chance to meet him and who knows how we would act!
Thanks for the support Jess, most of the feedback from my time with Rob has been positive but there are some haters out there and it’s hurtful when they criticise your actions. When you’re in that situation it’s difficult to know what to do, but when we saw him he was talking to other fans quite happily so I didn’t think he would mind giving an autograph. As I’ve said he didn’t want to draw attention to himself inside the church but didn’t mind a pic being taken outside. I just chatted very normally to him, no fangirling just told him how nice it was to have him back in the UK. I really can’t see that Rob would mind normal encounters like that, he would expect to be recognised he’s the hottest star on the planet right now and to be honest this is probably a welcome break for him from the madness he encounters in the States. So please don’t criticise my actions, what’s done is done and the universe is still turning.
He seems to be a really nice person.
