Hollywood has had its fair share of romantic leading men over the last 80 years. Will Water for Elephants be the film that makes Robert Pattinson Hollywood’s next leading man?
The term “leading man” is an old Hollywood term for an actor who plays the love interest of the leading actress in a movie. A leading man is always handsome and debonair. He can usually do a little bit of everything such as singing, dancing, ect. He is also known for being able to make less talented actresses look better than they really are.
Does Robert Pattinson fit the bill so far? Some popular leading men over the years have been; Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, Stewart Granger, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Is it Rob Pattinson’s turn to become Hollywoods next leading man?
Pattinson has everything you look for in a leading man. He has the looks, the charm, the sophistication and the ability to sing and play musical instruments. He has played the role in Twilight already and now he gets his chance to do it again, in a more serious film, with a leading lady in Reese Witherspoon.
Water for Elephants is beginning to look like a break through role for Robert Pattinson. The hype keeps building. Next month we will find out if it lives up to it all.

Plus he can act! When watching Rob’s movies … I never see Rob … it’s always Cedric, Toby, Daniel, Art, Dali, Edward or Tyler. I cannot wait to see WFE, BA and Cosmopolis!

I couldn’t agree more. i’ve not ONCE seen Rob when he’s acting. I always see the person he’s supposed to be, and that is proof of good acting!

I think he can definately is and can be the next leading man in Holllywood. This movie needs to do well at the box office though. I’m a little concerned since the movie comes out on a holiday weekend. You never know how this will affect box office numbers. Anyone else see this as a concern?

Yes, Yes, Yes, off course he can be the next leading man. He has it all and more. ITA with RobCatCdn – I always see the character, he’s an excellent actor and will just be getting better and better. I think WFE will finally give him the recognition he deserves.
Must add – I got hooked on Twilight because of Edward, but I fell in love with Rob!!!!
robert pattinson has the potential to be anything he wants to be.he has all the traits of a star that is going to shine for along time.the reason i say this is that he is striving to better his acting skills by taking different roles. this will give him a chance to test his skills as an actor. he is so talented,witty, and charming and self depreciating and of course very handsome. i wish the best of luck with his career.expect great things from mr pattinson
Yes I do! I think he has the potential to do almost anything that his heart desires. He is a very talented young man. WFE is a superb book and a great story. Rob I am sure will carry this part off just as well as his Edward character in Twilight. Looking forward to seeing this film and lots more of Robert Pattinson.
