Here’s a great review of Cosmopolis by ‘celluloid junkie‘

Cosmopolis is the 2012 sci-fi drama directed by David Cronenberg starring Robert Pattinson as Eric Packer, Paul Giamatti as Benno, Juliette Binoche as Didi, Samantha Morton as Vija, and Sarah Gadon as Eric’s wife, Elise.
Love him or hate him, and I’m sure there’s a fair amount that could go either way, Robert Pattinson is here to stay.
Pattinson’s performance in Cosmopolis is near-perfect. That is to say – this film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo is strangely literal. Not all written dialogue sounds as good when spoken aloud as it does in your head. With Cosmopolis, if you ever do adjust to the cadence and language of its cast of characters, you may have already given up on the plot. People seem to have confused this oddness with Pattinson’s (et al) ability to act.
This is a mistake.

Is the project with Robert Pattinson still a go?
Yes, we haven’t given up yet. So far it hasn’t worked, but the script is fantastic and working with Rob would be great fun

First teaser poster for Robert Pattinson’s new movie ‘Maps to the Stars’. The promo poster is probably for this year’s Cannes Film Market, where the movie is being sold.

#Cannes2013: First ‘Map to the Stars’ visual. The new #Cronenberg with Robert Pattinson and MiaWasikowkaOk
Plot Summary:
Led by the loathsome yet funny and touching child-star Benjie, we witness the convoluted world of shallow, selfish celebrities and their minions, all of whom are about to be manipulated and destroyed by the young woman who literally represents the fruit of their twisted machinations, Agatha, Benjie’s tormented, apparently psychotic sister. As much as it is a sharp, comic look at a vacant and corrupt world, MAPS TO THE STARS is also a haunting ghost story

Another Brit in a Stephenie Meyer film adaption – do you feel like you’re following in Robert Pattinson’s footsteps?
That’s not for me to say. I think Robert’s very lucky in that he’s going to continue to have a very good career, and I know he’s doing a lot of good projets. You know, Twilight was a phenomenon in and of itself, and I don’t think anything is going to be like it. The Host is very different from Twilight. I don’t think anything or anyone can recreate that film

eOne Entertainment Press Release:
Toronto/Los Angeles – May 8, 2013 – Entertainment One Films (“eOne”) and Martin Katz’s Prospero Pictures are pleased to announce that Mia Wasikowska (Lawless, Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland), Olivia Williams (Hyde Park on the Hudson, The Ghost Writer), and Evan Bird (TV’s The Killing) have joined the all-star cast of the upcoming thriller Maps to the Stars from award-winning director David Cronenberg, which is set to begin production this July in Toronto and Los Angeles.
Maps to the Stars is a haunting ghost story and scathing attack on the celebrity-obsessed society of LA. Following an exhaustive search, Cronenberg found newcomer Bird for the role of Benjie, a troubled, drug-addicted child star, while Williams will play Cristina his manipulative mother. Wasikowska comes on board as Benjie’s sister Agatha, his disfigured, schizophrenic, fame-obsessed sister.
Wasikowska, Williams and Bird join Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right, Game Change, Children of Men), John Cusack (2012, Identity, Being John Malkovich), Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga series, Water for Elephants) and Sarah Gadon (A Dangerous Method, Antiviral), who are already cast.
“The level of talent that we are attracting to this film speaks to the continuing allure of David Cronenberg,” said producer Martin Katz. “We are thrilled to share these latest casting additions as we take this exciting new project to Cannes.”
Co-financed by eOne and Prospero Pictures, the film is being produced by Prospero Pictures’ Martin Katz together with SBS Productions’ Saïd Ben Saïd. Sentient Entertainment’s Renee Tab, Cronenberg’s manager, will executive produce. eOne’s Benedict Carver is executive producing and will oversee the film for the studio. Integral Films’ Alfred Hurmer is co-producing.
Written by Bruce Wagner (Wild Palms), the film’s talented production team also includes Deirdre Bowen (casting), Carol Spier (production designer), Peter Suschitzky (DOP), Ron Sanders (editor) and Academy Award-winner Howard Shore (composer).
Launching sales of the film in Cannes, eOne Films International will handle worldwide rights. eOne will directly distribute Maps to the Stars in the U.S., Canada, the UK and Australia/NZ
