Robert Pattinson Signs Petition Against Sex Trafficking Of Children 1 comment
ECPAT UK and The Body Shop were joined by celebrity campaign supporter Martine McCutcheon on 12th May 2011 to hand over the Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People Petition to the British prime minister at 10 Downing Street.
Signed by an incredible 735,889 people – including stars such as Ricky Gervais, Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman, and Elizabeth Hurley – the petition is the largest to be received by the coalition and calls for greater protection of child victims of trafficking. Other celebrity supporters included Matt LeBlanc, Robert Pattinson, Joanna Lumley, Yoko Ono, Naomi Campbell, Sir Ben Kingsley, Claudia Winkleman, Lily Cole, Pixie Lott and Craig David.

‘Water for Elephants’ at Australia box office No. 1 3 comments
Water for Elephants has topped the Australian box office.
The Francis Lawrence-directed movie, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson as lovers in a circus, beat Marvel’s Thor to take out the top spot in this week’s ratings.
Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson action sequel Fast and Furious 5 came in fourth place but failed to beat science fiction thrillerSource Code, positioned at number three.
Something Borrowed drops down one place to settle for fifth after generating over $600,000 in ticket sales.
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil jumps up from seventh to sixth, closely followed by Insidious and Your Highness in the seventh and eighth spots.
Russell Brand comedy Arthur and animated family film Rio both tumble down the chart to fill slots nine and 10.

Robert Pattinson fulfills Starlight wish 4 comments

In the media lately it has been known that Reese Witherspoon is blown away by co-star Robert Pattinson’s popularity: “I think all I can do is stand back and sort of watch it happen because I’m not used to seeing somebody have so many fans”. One of these fans is Starlight wish girl, Samantha.
Not only was Friday 6th May Starlight Day it was also a VERY special day for Samantha as she was granted her Starlight wish. Whilst over 3,000 people turned up to get only a glimpse of the Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, Samantha got to meet him in person. She was the envy of every young fan meeting Robert at his hotel in Sydney. She also got to go down the red carpet for the movie premiere of ‘Water for Elephants’.
