The on-screen chemistry in ‘Water for Elephants’ was wild and fierce — between lady, man and giant, lovable mammal
There’s a ton of buzz about Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson’s chemistry in their new film, “Water for Elephants,” out Friday.
But if you’re under the impression this is “The Notebook” under the Big Top, think again: For both actors, the sizzle is between them and Tai
the elephant.
“You know how there are just some people that people
are attracted to? She’s like that with people and other elephants,”
says Kari Johnson, co-trainer of Tai, the pachyderm who plays the
movie’s eponymous star. And she had some big shoes to fill, even for an
elephant: Rosie, the character in Sara Gruen’s Depression-era novel upon
which the movie is based, is a scene-stealer with a nose for mischief
who likes to swipe hats, drain lemonade tanks and indulge in the
occasional bucket of gin and ginger ale.
Here are some links for the live coverage for the premiere of Water for Elephants. We’ll try and update as soon as we get new links in. So keep checking back here.

Sara Gruen, writer of the book Water for Elephants decided to come visit the fans waiting outside in the cold and the rain for the premiere of Water for Elephants. She signed books and later Pizza, donuts and hot chocolate were given to the fans waiting outside, given to them from Rob, Reese and Sara. There was a signing session with Sarah Gruen and some other actors from the movie in a hotel: the first sightings of our Thinking of Rob sign 😉

LOS ANGELES — The pert blonde in the headset peeks into the airless basement conference room. “Rob will be here in five minutes,’’ she says, flashing a smile.
The Rob to whom she refers is Robert Pattinson, the 24-year-old British actor whose penetrating gaze and masterfully moussed hair have helped propel the “Twilight’’ films into a $1.8 billion franchise — with two installments still to be released. Teenage girls around the globe fill Tumblr pages with testimonies to his hotness. Paparazzi stalk him tirelessly, mouths watering. Perimenopausal women, old enough to be his mother, dare to dream.
LOS ANGELES—“It’s a secret,” said Robert Pattinson, breaking into laughter. He was just asked to talk some more about the script he is supposedly writing, based on a novel by Lillian Hellmann, as disclosed in a Vanity Fair cover story on the actor by Nancy Jo Sales.
