REMEMBER ME Shirt worn by Rob up for auction   Leave a comment

A fan named Arianna gives us this shirt worn by Rob while filming Remember Me. This is the shirt and its history:

About a year ago I bought at an online auction through a shirt worn by our beloved Rob Remember Me. Apparently he used to be one of the photos that would later appear decorating the stage. The case is that Ebay bought through a shop that has a lot of credibility, such as Premiere Props. The problem is that now I have raised an issue I need to sell this item.
As you can see the link that I left, the shirt has always been framed so that its condition is excellent. And have your certificate of authenticity, completely original, since it has a raised seal. As a fan of Robert Pattinson breaks my heart to have to offer for sale this article, because, from my private collection is the jewel in the crown … but the crisis is the crisis and I could use the little money. As I say in the ad cost me 300 euros and I put it in direct sales to 250, less if you bid. So there I leave, if you want to post this on the web and other fans really can be done with this article.

Ryan Seacrest:

After releasing, via a Twitter video, that there will be a surprise for all the Twihards out there, Bruce furthered “Robert, Taylor, and Kristen will not be on the show but, the next best thing is going to happen and it will blow people minds.” Although Cohen wouldn’t reveal the surprise, he did let on what it is not, including it’s “not a live element at all…not technically CGI…and not the trailer for ‘Breaking Dawn.’

NPR Talks 2011 Books-Into-Films: ‘Water for Elephants’   2 comments

Photobucket

From NPR:

Water For Elephants (April 22)

The Book: A runaway bestseller, Sara Gruen’s historical novel centers on circus worker Jacob Jankowski and the eclectic cast of characters working for The Benzini Brothers’ Most Spectacular Show on Earth. Gruen wrote the novel in a month, apparently, basing the core of the book on the story of Jacob from the Book of Genesis. The paperback edition hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list in 2007.

The Film: Combine one-part Reese Witherspoon and one-part Robert Pattinson, and a couple of pachyderms, and you may have Pattinson’s most successful book-to-screen outing that isn’t Twilight. Bonus: Fewer screaming girls to contend with. Trailer here.

See It With: Circus folk. You know some, right?

Oscar Producer Teases Surprise For Twilight Fans   2 comments

According to Academy awards producer Bruce Cohen, Twihards should prepare themselves for a surprise. Although it has not been confirmed whether Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner will attend, he has the following words for fans:

“For all Twilight fans we have a surprise in the show on Sunday night, if you like the three movies, I have three words for you … Check out the show”

See the video HERE

From Twilight Examiner:

One of the co-hosts for the event is James Franco, who, you might recall, is an outspoken Twilight enthusiast. There’s even a connection between his post as host and his former interest in portraying a Breaking Dawn character. It should be interesting to see what they drum up for this! (Note that Bruce Cohen is the same guy who brought Franco on board for the job.

The 83rd Academy Awards are set to air Sunday, February 27, 2011.

Death and Taxes Magazine About Robert Pattinson’s New Role As Eric Parker in Cosmopolis   2 comments

Here’s a great article about why Cronenberg chose Robert Pattinson for his new movie and a great analysis on Pattinson’s character Eric Parker:

From Death and Taxes:

David Cronenberg has tapped the “Twilight” star to play Eric Packer in the adaptation of Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel.

Don DeLillo’s “Cosmopolis” is a vintage, icy satire. It might share the NYC setting and financial playground staked out by Oliver Stone in “Wall Street,” but whereas Charlie Sheen stands at his balcony and asks, “Who am I,” Eric Packer looks at his skyscraper penthouse from the street below and remembers, “I want a haircut.”

And so begins Packer’s Ulyssian odyssey through Manhattan as a 28 year old billionaire hedge fund manager, who’s made his money in tech stocks, and has an almost abstract-nihilistic approach to life and business.

Packer is, for all intents and purposes, an example of the Cartesian cogito ergo sum made flesh. The reader of “Cosmopolis” gets the impression that Packer might have sincerely tried to infuse meaning into existence, and simply discarded the notion when intellectual or financial excellence revealed no greater truths.

USA Today – Book Buzz ‘Water for Elephants’ Goes Hollywood   2 comments

PhotobucketFrom USA Today:

Rob Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon grace the jacket for the movie tie-in; “Super Diaper Baby 2” is here; and books play a numbers game.

‘Water’ world: On Tuesday, two pretty faces —Robert Pattinson‘s and Reese Witherspoon‘s — will begin gracing the jacket of Water for Elephants as the movie tie-in paperback edition hits stores. The film isn’t in theaters until April 22, but advance publicity has helped boost sales of the 2006 novel about a traveling circus. This week it’s No. 8 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list. The highest the novel has been is No. 4, in August 2007, after it was first released in paperback. Publisher Algonquin says the star-studded new jacket will have an impact: “I expect we’ll see a huge increase in sales of all available editions, including e-books and audio,” says associate publisher Ina Stern. Meanwhile, the paperback of Gruen’s 2010 novel Ape House will be released April 5.
