Yesterday we did a poll asking you wish book character you’d love to see Robert Pattinson play on the big screen. In third place came Alexander Belov/Barrington from The Bronze Horseman.
So what do you think? Would Robert Pattinson play a good Alexander Belov/Barrington? Alexander is a 22 year old officer in the Red Army.
Some of us are huge fans of the book The Bronze Horseman (I’m actually re-reading it right now) and we were a little excited yesterday when we learned that the book was going to be made into a film. Someone needs to send that script to Rob ASAP it would be a great role for him
. Many of us would love to see him play the role of Alexander Belov/Barrington. For those wondering The Bronze Horseman is a book that was written by Paullina Simons that takes place during the siege of Leningrad during World War II. You can read more about it here.

Alexander: “First we will send the frontovik into the streets with guns. When they are dead, we will send me, with a tank, like the one you’ve been making me. When I’m dead, all the barricades down, all the weapons and tanks gone, they will send you with a rock.”
Tania: “And when I’m dead?”
Alexander: “You’re the last line of defense. When you’re dead, Hitler will march through Leningrad the way he marched through Paris. Do you remember that?”
Tania: “That’s not fair the French didn’t fight”
Alexander: “The didn’t fight Tania, but you will fight. For every street and for every building. And when you lose —”
Tania: “The art will be saved!”
Alexander: “Yes the art will be saved. And another artist will paint a glorious picture, immortalizing you, with a club in your raised hand, swinging to hit the German tank as it’s about to crush you, all against the backdrop of the statue of Peter the Great atop his bronze horse. And that picture will hang in the Hermitage, and at the start of the next war the curator will once again stand on the street, crying over his vanishing crates. ”

We asked Larry411 some questions regarding the film and here’s what he answered:
larry411 It’s in script stage RT @FakerParis1: Larry, have you heard anything about The Bronze Horseman?
When I asked if casting had started for it he replied: larry411 @FakerParis1 Not even close. Could be years away.
larry411@FakerParis1 Anybody in the world could play it.
larry411 @FakerParis1 Casting is usually the last thing they do. I’ve seen scripts take 6 years from script to casting. Or it could be 4 months.
larry411 Director is Andy Tennant
larry411 @FakerParis1 It’s been in script stage since March 17.
**NOTE: BEFORE RUMOURS START, ROB IS NOT LINKED TO THE BRONZE HORSEMAN. IT’S JUST WISHFUL THINKING FROM US**
