‘The Rover’ Key Art – New The Rover Posters + New Pictures of Robert Pattinson as Rey Leave a comment
Jeremy Saunders, the man behind The Rover posters, posted a really cool entry on his site about the complete process of The Rover key art, from the very first teaser poster he created until the final one released and how he played with the colors and pictures.
A very cool read and it features a few new pictures of Rob as Rey. I especially love this part on his post “you aren’t really allowed to have Rob Pattinson in a movie and not have his face on the poster. It’s actually illegal in most countries :)”.

And Rob talks about ‘The Rover’ script in an interview with Associated Press from Cannes (click to read the full interview – about David Michôd)
The director’s rising star also attracted Twilight actor Pattinson, who has often played cool characters that trade on his severe looks. But in The Rover, he’s received the best reviews of his career for playing a fidgeting, bloodied misfit with a stuttering Southern accent.
‘‘There was something about the speech pattern,’’ Pattinson says. ‘‘When you’re reading something, it’s very rare that you actually want to say it out loud. As soon as I started reading this, it was just a fun voice.
‘‘You become really annoying and run into the other room: ‘Listen to this!’ And they say, ‘What are you talking about? I can’t understand anything you’re saying’.’’

The Rover’s official site has been updated! It looks AMAZING!
A24 Films not only added the usual “pictures”, “videos” and “credits” sections that we usually see in movie sites, but created a whole new future in the Timeline of the Colapse and Remapping the Future sections. Very impressive!
The site also features a new still and a couple others in better quality (scroll this post for the new stills) and a list of theaters that will be showing The Rover in the US (we included the list at the bottom of our post here).
