He may be the co-star in her latest movie but that didn’t stop Uma Thurman from being upfront about Robert Pattinson.
The 41-year-old actress was obviously expecting a question about the Twilight star when she appeared in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine – and she was certainly ready to answer it.
‘To answer the ubiquitous question about this movie, yes, Robert is good-looking in person, but he doesn’t have that diamond-sparkle skin like in those Dracula movies,’ she said.
The mother-of-two was of course referring to upcoming film Bel Ami in which she plays Pattinson’s secret love interest.
As she draped herself across a velvet sofa in an array of designer dresses, Thurman went on to say that she enjoyed the role very much.
‘It was a fun character, a nice, meaty, dramatic role, and who doesn’t love an excuse to wear a corset?’ she told the monthly publication.
But before she could change the subject, she had one more thing to say about Pattinson: ‘He’s a very disciplined, very serious, very ambitious, very organised actor.’

Breaking down the making of ‘Breaking Dawn’
LOS ANGELES – A teenage wedding and honeymoon, a half-vampire pregnancy, a violent birth — and that’s only the first part of the tale.
Director Bill Condon knew that bringing Stephenie Meyer’s young-adult novel Breaking Dawn to the big screen meant wading through some seriously intense themes not traditionally seen in a PG-13 film.
As he worked his way through the book to prep for shooting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1, which opened at midnight Thursday, he was struck by the sheer number of plot points he refers to as “delicate issues.”
“I was reading it going, ‘Wow, so much happens in this story,’ ” says Condon. “It certainly doesn’t play safe. It was daunting.”
Thankfully, the Oscar winner (for Gods and Monsters‘ screenplay) found words of inspiration for his first foray into the world of teen fiction.
“There was one very consistent idea that kept coming through,” he says. “Don’t water it down. There’s something crazy and intense about this book, and you just have to embrace it.”

The trio were swamped by sobbing Twihards clamouring to have their pictures taken with them on the red carpet at Westfield Stratford shopping centre in London.
The next instalment of the vampire love story sees Bella Swan (Stewart) finally get hitched to her immortal lover Edward Cullen (Pattinson).
It features the real-life couple’s hotly anticipated love scene and Pattinson told Metro he wished the 12A-rated film could have been raunchier.
R-Patz said: ‘It’s funny when you’re doing a sex scene and they’re screaming, “No, don’t actually look like you’re having sex. That’s terrifying!”
‘They’re both losing their virginity and people are afraid of showing the actual moment, which is the most emotional part of the scene.’
R-Patz, 25, revealed he was looking for another film to do with Stewart but said:
‘Kristen’s really got her own thing. There’s no other actress around who’s got the same niche and a lot of modern female parts feed into that really well.’
His girlfriend, 21, posed for red carpet photos wearing high heels with her Roberto Cavalli dress but changed into trainers before signing autographs.
She did the same a day earlier at the world premiere in Los Angeles.
