New Robert Pattinson Interview with Sweden's Klick! Magazine Scan + Translation 1 comment
Johanna sent these scans and the translated interview to RPLife:
Rob is featured in this week’s “Klick!” in Sweden. He is this week’s “kex” which basically means he is this week’s “hottie” (of course he’s every week’s hottie to us ;))

Here’s my translation of the article.
In “Remember me”, Robert Pattinson, 23, has Swedish Lena Olin as his mother, Pierce Brosnan as his father and the “Lost”-actress Emelie de Ravin as his girlfriend. With those surrounding him and being named as our new James Dean, he is obviously this weeks Kex!
– Thanks, I guess…
Last time we met you said you hadn’t been affected by your fame since you were spending most of your time making movies. Has that changed or are you still able to go to the pub with your friends and have a beer?
– Working in England is the opposite of working in the States. When I was having dinner at a London pub the other day, a waitress came up to me and said how much I looked like the guy from “Twilight”. She said, “You could be his brother”.
– Other who recognize me in London are almost a little embarrassed and don’t even want to look at me.
How are your family members handling it?
– Mom is still calling every day asking about all the gossip. My sisters have no problems, except from getting their Facebook accounts hacked from time to time.
What do you tell your mom?
– I hate having to promote myself to my family. I don’t want people I know to read things about me since they might get the wrong impression.
You are an executive producer for this movie. What did that mean?
– I was asked about the casting. But I had no oppositions. I thought Emelie de Ravin was the best by far out of those who read for the part.
You got to have a Swedish mother in the movie.
– Lena, yeah. What an amazing actress she is. I liked to study her when she was working. It was shame that we didn’t have more scenes together.
What was your first love like?
– Romantic and beautiful. But then it got worse. She broke up with me (laughs) and there isn’t much more to say about that.
How old were you?
– I was 19 or 20.
In an interview recently you said that you’re closest to your dog. What did you mean by that?
– I was kind of joking when I said that. But she was special and had been a family member for many years when she passed away last year. She was as much of a sister as anyone else.
Do you have a new dog now?
– No.
Are you planning on getting one?
– I don’t think so.
He makes a nervous laugh and lowers his eyes.
– I get so emotional by this.
Which would you choose – break someone’s heart, or getting your heart broken?
– Simple – even though I shouldn’t say it: break someone’s heart.
– It takes so long for my heart to heal. Or maybe it gets broken too often. Sometimes it feels like I have my heart broken every day.

Pierce Brosnan Impressed by Fan-Magnet Robert Pattinson 1 comment
Pierce Brosnan has revealed his ‘Remember Me’ co-star Robert Pattinson was pursued by beautiful girls on set every day.
The former James Bond star – who plays Robert’s estranged father in the gripping family drama – had to make do with older admirers while the 23-year-old heartthrob soaked up the attention of screaming teenagers.
Pierce, who shot the movie with Robert in New York, told Empire magazine: “I remember being outside the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. We were shooting in the Oak Room and there were 2,000 girls out there from 12 to 21. Actually, there were some gorgeous looking girls out there, but they weren’t around my caravan. I had the mothers at my end and some beauties there were too! But it was very sedate by my end of the motor homes. I’d walk out and get a hearty cheer. I’d trip up the steps of the Plaza feeling very good with myself that I still have the juice. But as I’d be walking down the corridors into the Plaza I would hear this wave, this cacophony of sound as girls clamoured for Robert. His girls go through the rafters for him.”
The 56-year-old star thinks Robert – who has become an international heartthrob after playing vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ movies – will be able to handle his enormous fame, but he personally finds it almost incomprehensible.
He added: “I never experienced anything like that as a young man of 23. I’m sure he’ll weather the waters swimmingly. He’s a grand lad and I wish him well in every way.”
The Metro Interviews Rob: “I’m Picky About Roles” 3 comments
The 23-year-old actor has become a global superstar after playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, but his latest film is indie flick Remember Me, which he revealed stood out from the hundreds of roles he has been offered.
He added: “I had read tonnes and tonnes of scripts over the summer after I did Twilight, I mean hundreds, and everything seemed exactly the same.
“But this one, the way the dialogue was written, it just seemed much more naturalistic than most things.
“It’s not really a feel-good movie. They don’t make movies like it anymore, I think that’s how I kind of choose stuff, that’s the only criteria I have. There seems to be a gap in the market for something and I just try and do that.”
Robert hopes his Twilight fans like the new film but revealed he would never appear in a film simply to please an audience.
He said: “Obviously you hope people like things but I think if you start doing stuff to please a certain audience then you’re going in the wrong direction. I mean, you don’t even know the people you’re trying to please, especially if you’re trying to please whole swathes of people.
“I hope they like it.”
:: Remember Me is released on Friday April 2.
'Remember Me' International Box Office 4 comments
Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me has been called a downright box-office flop by some. That isn’t correct. A box-office disappointment, sure, but definitely not a flop considering its $16 million price tag.
Even if Summit Entertainment spent that same amount — or several million more — promoting and distributing the film, Remember Me will most likely end up in the black after worldwide box-office rentals (not grosses, as exhibitors keep about 50% of the share) and ancillary revenues are added up.
At the domestic box office — United States and Canada — Remember Me has grossed $14.5 million after 12 days. Day-to-day revenues have varied widely, with increases and decreases at times reaching 20%.
Overseas, Remember Me has opened in only a handful of major movie markets since March 11. According to country figures found at Box Office Mojo, Remember Me has grossed $5.42 million at the international box office as of March 21. That places its worldwide total at about $20 million.
The three top markets have been Russia with $1.824 million, Brazil with $1.118m, and Australia with $916K. Further down the list are Greece with $316K and Sweden with $279K.
Remember Me will open in major markets such as Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Mexico, and France in the coming weeks. Expect revenues to soar even if Remember Me doesn’t turn out to be a bona fide success.
