Robert Pattinson Did Not Give The Daily Record an Interview 5 comments
Thank you so much to Gossip Cop.
Two things are for certain:
(1) There is audio of Robert Pattinson discussing sex scenes in “Bel Ami.”
(2) He most assuredly did not grant the Daily Record an interview.
Here is what happened.
Yes, there’s audio of Pattinson, but he didn’t tell the Daily Record, “The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing.”
The full audio, recorded at a recent roundtable discussion with several journalists in London, has Pattinson saying that his character and Uma Thurman’s marry about two-thirds of the way into “Bel Ami,” and “the sex scenes with Uma… if they, if they work out how they are in the script… they’d be like kind of disturbing in a way.”
It’s important to note, though, that the printed comment alters the sequence and wording of Pattinson’s comments.
It’s equally important to Gossip Cop that Pattinson was not interviewed by the Daily Record, and the paper was not among the approved outlets at the roundtable.
When Gossip Cop asked about the circumstances surrounding the audio, one editor at the paper said he was “unaware” if the person who furnished the tab with the audio identified himself as a reporter for the Daily Record. And another editor said whether the writer “identified himself as representing the Daily Record” was “immaterial.”
But it’s not immaterial. Especially since the Daily Record wasn’t an approved media outlet.
The paper was able to print Pattinson’s words (while no other outlet at the roundtable did) because, not having been identified as a participant, the Daily Record did not abide by certain restrictions.
And since it was not an approved outlet, that’s why a Pattinson source told Gossip Cop – correctly – that the star “never spoke to the [Scottish] Daily Record.”
Even Pattinson, according to the source, didn’t know he was being taped by someone who was going to later supply the Daily Record with the (edited) quotes.
So, at the end of the day… yeah, Pattinson said some of what the paper claims — though not word for word, according to the audio — but he had absolutely no idea he was being “interviewed” by the Daily Record.
Pierce Brosnan Talks About Working With Robert Pattinson in Cinematical Interview 1 comment
To shift gears a bit, speaking of media-centric figures, you’re in Remember Me with Robert Pattinson, which must have been totally bizarre to try and film in New York City.
PB: [laughs] It was. Well, I’ve seen it. I’ve never encountered such attention in my career. I mean, I certainly had it but on a day-to-day basis, this young man certainly acquitted himself very well. And I think he was just completely blindsided by everything. And here he was doing a drama, which he’s executive producer on, and he had a heavy workload every day, and it’s a hard one to be wrenched out of every time you step out of our trailer.
Especially in New York.
PB: And there’s nowhere to hide. There’s nowhere to run. You know, you’re damned if you do, and you’re damned if you don’t… You have to go to emotional places where you really need to [put your] head down and [look] straight ahead… It’s a very dramatic movie, and it’s a beautiful movie. It’s a love story. I play his father. What can I say about it? I’m very proud of that.

Emilie de Raven Talks About 'Remember Me' and Working With Robert Pattinson 5 comments
Australian actress Emilie de Ravin has moved from the small screen to the big screen in the upcoming romantic drama Remember Me (out March 12).
In the movie, de Ravin (Claire on the TV smash hit Lost) plays Ally who becomes the object of affection of one brooding young man named Tyler, played by super hunk Robert Pattinson. Tyler has a strained relationship with his father a (Pierce Brosnan) due to a family tragedy and didn’t think anyone could pull him out of his funk until, he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness but soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart.
De Ravin recently spoke to Tribute’s Toni-Marie Ippolito to discuss filming Remember Me, how hard it was to concentrate with the paparazzi on set, what Robert Pattinson is really like to work with and, of course, her feelings on the final season of the hit series Lost, which made her a household name.
Congratulations on this film. It looks fantastic. So, what did you think first think about this love story?
DE RAVIN: I fell in love as soon as I read it. It’s one of those few and far between scripts that you read that you’re like, “This is just something that I would just kill to be a part of.”

Ethan Hawke Mentions Robert Pattinson 9 comments
We have no idea who this “Robert Pattinson” guy is. Now, Bob Pattinson on the other hand….
Over drinks at a bistro in the Maritime Hotel, however, we’re not talking about Stoppard or Shepard or Mendes or Lumet. We’re talking about Zac Efron. Hawke and Linklater are close friends, and Linklater’s latest film, Me and Orson Welles, released in November, stars the unknown British actor Christian McKay as Welles, and the very well-known Efron—who became famous in High School Musical—as Welles’s young protégé. And herein lies a dilemma.
“The irony is, from Rick’s point of view, he wants to make a period film. He wants McKay to play Orson Welles. So you need a star to be in it somewhere,” Hawke says. “Here’s the answer: We’ll get Zac Efron to play the young kid. Because they audition him, and you know what? He turns out to be a really good actor. So that’s the reason Rick gets the money to make the film. But that’s also the reason people struggle to take the movie seriously.” This is a predicament that Hawke knows all too well. “A part of my heart goes out for these guys like Zac or [Twilight’s] Bob Pattinson. I wish them well,” he says. “The world is very mysterious. It has the appearance that it’s rooting for them and giving them everything they want. Instead, it’s setting a huge trap. And it’s very difficult to get out of.”
