It’s poll time. Which of Robert Pattinson’s upcoming movies are you most looking forward to? Bel Ami or Water for Elephants? We’re not including Breaking Dawn since the release date is too far away.

Bel Ami

Bel Ami is a movie based on the book Bel Ami by Guy de Maupassant. Rob plays the role of Georges DuRoy, a power hungry man who climbs the social ladder by using his charms on women of influence.

Water for Elephants

Water for Elephants is based on a book by Sara Gruen. Water for Elephants takes place during the Great Depression. Rob plays the role of Jacob Jankowski a young man who, trying to find his bearings after the death of his parents, ends up on a travelling circus.

So which movie are you most looking forward too and why? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Do I have to choose? Can’t I just say that I am seriously excited to see both?

  2. im looking foward to “water for elephants”

  3. Good poll! I don’t know which one choose, but,I think, I am most looking forward to “Water for Elephants” because it will be a love story, and this type of films is my favorite, and he looks so sweet with that look. But Bel Ami will be different to another roles that he has made and it will be good to see him on this role too.

  4. Since I’ve read Water For Elephants (Bel Ami to come), …will say Water For Elephants. Really looking forward to see it all come to life on the big screen and seeing Rob kick it as Jacob. 😉

  6. I really like Rob with that haircut and I’m definitely going to see Water For Elephants, but Bel Ami… mmmmh, I really look forward to see dirty and nasty Rob/Duroy!

  7. What can I say? I can’t choose…….
I’m very curious to see him as a total immoral character in Bel Ami, because he hasn’t done anything like this before and it’s so far from his own character.
Water for Elephants is one of my favorite books and Jacob is so stubborn, sweet and loyal to the animals and his friends. It’s not just a simple love story.
Love the cast in both movies and from the photos I’ve seen Rob looks gorgeous as Georges and as Jacob.
I’m sure that these movies will influence Rob’s career in a very positive way and that’s exactly what I want for him. A long lasting career with roles that challenge him and improve him as an actor.
    Love you Rob!

  8. Water For Elephants! I truly loved the book and it’s now one of my favorite books. Rob is the perfect Jacob and I also love Reese Witherspoon. It’s an amazing cast so it just feels like it can’t do other then succeed. 🙂

  10. Can´t choose, diferents roles and diferents movies, can´t choose!!

  11. Definitely Water for Elephants!! I read the book and it was such a lovely story. I´m sure, it will be a great movie 🙂

  12. I would say WFE, but BA…ummm it’s going to be very hot :))~~

  13. I can’t wait to see Water for Elephants. I read and loved the book, and I think he will be great as Jacob! The cute haircut doesn’t hurt either! 🙂

  14. looking forward on both movies.. 🙂 but since WFE is coming out this April..i am more excited about it..wheee.. 🙂 any movie with ROB in it..i would definitely look forward for it..wheee.. :)) LOVE IT!

  15. I’m definitely looking forward to both, but since Water For Elephants is one of my favourite books of all time, I’d have to say I’m a tiiiiny bit more excited to see that one 😀

  16. Water for Elephants!!

  17. I read Water for Elephants for the first time a couple years ago and it instantly became one of my all-time favorite books. I think I would love the movie even if Rob wasn’t in it, but because he is and I see him as being a wonderful Jacob Jankowski, that will just make it all the more special. I read Bel Ami after I found Rob was going to make it. I liked the book and it will interesting to watch Rob play that scoundrel, but I am much more looking forward to Water for Elephants!

  18. Water for Elephants.. Rob and animals, that’s going to kill me. Cute as hell. 🙂

  19. It’s like trying to decide which is your favorite son or daughter, it is impossible, if I had to make a choice, definitely Water for Elephants. I like the book but I hope this version turns out a better adaptation than the Twilight Saga .

  20. Definitely Water for Elephants!!

  21. Water for Elephants!

Obviously, I’m looking forward to both films, as a Rob fan.

But.. From what I’ve read (I may be wrong), but it appears that the filmmakers of Bel Ami are untested. They’re known in England for their stage plays and for breaking norms and being experimental. So… while I’ve heard the script is wonderful, and I know Rob will be good, I am less optimistic about it being a great film.

I also read Bel Ami, and while it is a very good book, it isn’t among my favorites. I’m sure some things were lost in translation (I read it in English), but I’m less enthusiastic about the story.

Water for Elephants is now one of my favorite books. Francis Lawrence is an experienced director, and the movie is filled with top-notch, experienced actors (including the two Oscar winners). And the cast and crew seem to be genuinely flattered by and supportive of the fans. And all the buzz from the set points toward it being good.

So yeah – I vote Water for Elephants!

  22. I want to see both of them. Read both books and he should be great in both.. Love him

  23. Water for Elephants* Whatever he’s said about Bel Ami,it seems he was excited to do the role as it’s so different from him but overall I think he was disgusted with the mans lack of morals and however good for the acting experience imo it left him feeling the need to shower. Hope that made sense.
W4E is going to be groundbreaking for him and I’m so looking forward to April 2011!!!

  24. Either–both. I’ll be first in line for both of them. I’ve got April, 2011 to look forward to now. Does anyone know if Bel Ami has a US distributor & if so, when it’ll be released here?

  25. Aaaargh can’t choose, can’t choose, this is too cruel! Why are you doing this to us ?:)) It’s like choosing between heaven and paradise. I want to see them both, badly. But if you pointed a gun at me and made me choose, then I guess it would be WFE. This is a very good poll anyway, thanks for posting it!

  26. Water for elephants 🙂 But I’ll love both of them…I know! Great poll-idea, thx for posting.

  27. Looking forward to Bel Ami, but CAN’T WAIT for WFE. That is going to be soooo good.

  28. OMG! i never cant choose because both of them is looking like too and too amazing and perfecT..:)) And sure we are seeing very different Rob both of them and this is really very attractive..:D:D As soon as possible i want to watch Bel Ami and WFE..;D They would be amazing..:)

  29. I’d have to say W4E. I read the book & basically saw the movie already as I read it. I LOVE Reese & watch almost any movie she’s in. It’s a given that I’ll watch a movie if Rob’s in it LOL.

Also since it was filmed in my old childhood playground I feel more connected to the movie.

Wow, Rob’s films have connected to me in such a deep personal way. Remember Me was filmed all around my new home & W4E was filmed in my old home.

    *heavy sigh*

    I miss my Cali home.

  30. thats a hard choice!! I think I will pick Water For Elephants.

  31. AUSH!! I really don’t know… I haven’t read the books… it will be lovely to see him with animals ❤ but at the same time it would be HOT! to watch him in this seductive role from Bel Ami lol… it's really hard to choose one… but if I could only watch one it would probably be… WFE… but i will like them both xD !!!

  32. I think Water for Elephants. I hear that Rosie like Jacob. Bel Ami??? not sure.

  33. Bel Ami will be great! Anything Rob is in will be amazing, but which is my favorite? Water For Elephants 100%! I read the book a while ago and when I found out Rob was cast as Jacob I was Ecstatic!! The movies going to be amazing and I’m calling it right now, Rob will receive and Oscar for this film!! April 15th 2011!!! ❤ RpattzFan4Life!!

  34. Water For Elephants, hands down.

  35. I love Rob in everything he does. It will be interesting to see how he handles both roles and I hope the movies do well at the box office. I think he’s an amazing actor and deserves all the success he can get.

  36. Both for I want to see “mean” Rob in Bel Ami and how well he acts that part and WFE for the love for the animals and he just looks so hot in this movie. Too hard to chose when it is a film with Rob in it.

  37. im looking forward to seeing bel ami.

  38. #WFE

Good evening, I do not write English but I can answer this question: Fair friend because I know the novel it is sublime and is part of our literature and think Rob will be absolutely fabulous in a role opposite of twilight;for water for elephants I do not know “not translated in France” but inside it’s mouth is so beautiful hesitation …I do a translation with a tool to monitor Google

  40. I have to say Water for Elephants. The book was so good. Rob looks the part of Jacob and I think he will shine in this movie.

  41. BOTH!!! They are so different and you shouldn’t really ask us to choose between them. I know that I AM looking forward BOTH movies and plan to see them more than once! Certainly, I will add them to my Rob’s movie collection when they will come out on DVD. I read both books as well and liked both of them. Remember that his “Bad Mother’s Handbook” movie comes out on DVD on Aug. 24, 2010! I can’t wait to have this movie as well. I saw it thru Internet and I liked it as well.

  42. Water for Elephants! I still need to read the book, but I can already tell it’s going to be a great film adaptation! 😀

  43. water for elephants, but i can’t wait to see rob on bel ami too !!

  44. Deffenitely Bel Ami!
I read the book and it’s just great!!!

  45. BEL AMI! For all the dirty and steamy scenes. But please I will go to see any Robert’s movie even if he is doing just a cameo.

  46. definitely both……everything of Rob…I need more

  47. Water for Elephants, hands down.

I am interested to seeing Bel Ami as well, especially for.. the .. well.. exposure if you get my drift. But I have read WFE and loved it majorly, I have followed the filming, and it is more my kinda story. Of course I will be excited about Bel Ami as well, but definitely looking forward to WFE more.

  48. Water for Elephants because it looks like Rob’s having a lot of fun filming it. He looks so good all dirty, gritty and beaten up. I can’t wait to see him interact with the animals, too. I’m not that excited to see Bel Ami because it doesn’t sound like my cup of tea. The guy he’s playing seems hard to like and I’ll probably feel uncomfortable watching it. I’m thinking of just waiting for it to come out on DVD.

  49. W F E !

  50. I’d have to say Water for Elephants ’cause he’s starring along side Uma Thurman in Bel Ami. I really dislike her. *Sigh* But I’m gonna watch both anyway. ROB is in it afterall 🙂 I’ll just have to endure it 😛

  51. In fact, I’m going to watch both! But if I had to choose, I would say ‘Water for elephants’. I read both books last month and WFE is awesome!
