I can feel your pain Sim as right now in this family we are facing the same. My mother in law who is my 2nd Mom is slowing slipping away. Death is not the hard part because we know they are, or if you have faith, you know they are whole and out of pain. The process of death is the painful part.
NO matter how long a person we love is in our lives it is a blessing and someday we’ll meet again.
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you.
