Possible UK Release Date for Water For Elephants   2 comments

Launching Films – Film Distributors Assosiation has the UK release date for Robert Pattinson’s Water For Elephants listed as 22 April 2011. All future release dates however, are subject to change and the schedule is updated weekly.

Also LeRPattzClub sent this info regarding recent Water For Elephants developments:

One our members get us a tip about WFE. We didn’t know which company would distribute the film in France and now we know it’s 20th Century Fox. During the “Congrès des Exploitants” ( a conference during which distributors come to show exhibitors some extracts of their upcoming films) , they apparently show the very first images of Water for Elephants. We don’t know exactly what it was and even if it’s just rush or images from a first version of the film.

Here is the article. I translated it for you

Congrès des Exploitants 2010

The winner from 2009 , 20th Century Fox, started and gathered blockbusters for 2011 such as Narnia 3 to be released in December , Gulliver 3D with  Jack Black or  Rio,the future successful cartoon in 3D from the creator of the Ice Age which baffled and stressed the rivals ! There were also the very first images  of Water For Elephant by Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I am Legend) and also from FA by Black Swan

Take care.

Christina Ricci Speaks About Bel Ami & Robert Pattinson With Black Book Magazine   Leave a comment

Ricci has shared screen time with Hollywood heartthrobs her entire life—Depp (on three separate occasions), Justin Timberlake, and Orlando Bloom—but the collective scream reached fever pitch earlier this year when she filmed Bel Ami, an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s story of corruption and social climbing, with Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson. Featuring a stacked deck of formidable actors, including Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas, Bel Ami tells the story of George Duroy, a scheming, power-hungry womanizer brought to life by Pattinson. Ricci plays Clotilde de Marelle, one of Duroy’s many conquests.

“I read the book when I was 13,” she says. “It was one of my tutor’s favorite stories, so there was a lot of discussion about it my entire life. Getting the part was one of those things that made me sort of believe in…” Realizing she’s stumbled dangerously close to earnest territory, she cuts herself short, and then, with a slight eye roll, says, “Well, fate. But, yeah, Rob’s fans are crazy. We filmed in London, and they were always around base camp, gathered at the barriers.”

Bill Condon Sends a Messages To Twilight Fans   3 comments

Hello fans!

Has it really been five months (and a day) since my last dispatch?  In my defense, they’ve been five months spent immersed in the world of TWILIGHT – something I’m sure you can all appreciate.  We’re in the thick of pre-production now, juggling everything from casting to storyboarding to location scouting, getting it all ready to go, but I do want to take a moment to announce to you exclusively a few of the amazing production team members who are hard at work alongside me, bringing these movies to life.  I hope you’ll be as excited about them as I am:

Guillermo Navarro, who won an Academy Award for the beautiful PAN’S LABYRINTH, is our cinematographer.  Guillermo and I have been painstakingly planning each shot, with a team of very talented storyboard artists.

Michael Wilkinson, our costume designer, is bringing his brilliant vision to the styles of all your favorite characters.  Michael’s created fantastic looks for 300, WATCHMEN, and the upcoming TRON: LEGACY – just wait ’til you see his take on the vampire witnesses who come to Forks from around the globe.

Jean Black, our makeup designer, has worked extensively with the Coen Brothers and David Fincher, most recently making exquisite, award-winning contributions to THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON.  I’m honored to be working with her.

Richard Sherman, with whom I made GODS AND MONSTERS and KINSEY, is on-board as our production designer.  Richard’s one of my oldest collaborators and a terrific designer, and you may be interested to know that he also happens to be a lifelong vampire aficionado.

Our Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor John Bruno has been responsible for some of the most memorable special effects ever, with his groundbreaking work on display in everything from POLTERGEIST to AVATAR.  He and his team are working intensely to develop solutions to the host of special effects challenges that Stephenie created for us in BREAKING DAWN, including that remarkable kid…

Wonderful, imaginative people all and very exciting, intense times for us.  Even with the months of work we’ve already put in, we’re barely underway on the journey, and I do hope to get back to you much sooner next time with more news.  Until then, thanks for your warm reception and continued support!

Very best regards,

Bill

Bel Ami possible release update – from Protagonist Pictures   Leave a comment

Photobucket

Bel Ami Movie UK did some investigation on the Bel Ami release dates and came up with these answers:

1 – Has Bel Ami gained distributors yet for the 3 remaining areas?  ~ “NOT YET”

2 – We have heard from a Swedish source that Bel Ami is likely to view
at either the Berlin or Cannes film festivals next year and if that is
the case will release be delayed until after both these events? ~
“YES”

3 – Are there any plans to release any more promotional material in
the near future? ~
“NO”

Thanks to Bel Ami Movie UK
