The good thing about Robert Pattinson coming out with a new movie — you know, in addition to the fact that he’s coming out with a new movie — is that his ever popular face will have to make obligatory stops at all many popular TV outlets to promote it. While the “Remember Me” tour will be a bit less involved than the “New Moon” on was, we’re pretty excited about all of the TV shows he is going to be frequenting. What’s even more exciting is that most of the visits will be firsts.
“THE TODAY SHOW”- March 1
Rob’s first stop on the press tour stars March 1, where he will be kicking it off with a visit to “The Today Show.” This isn’t quite a debut, considering he already visitedMatt Lauer while promoting“New Moon.” However, we really dug the interview at the time, and we’re sure Matt will pull out a great repeat performance.
“LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON”- MARCH 1
It might seem surprising that March 1 will also mark Rob’s first appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner both made appearances here for “New Moon”) considering as recently as February 10 he “made” a cameo appearance. Hopefully Rob will be able to get back at Jimmy Fallon for all his “Robert is Bothered” skits, maybe with a “Jimmy Fallon isn’t as funny as he thinks he is and that bothers all of us” one? Yeah, we know it’s not as catchy, but we’re working on it.
“THE VIEW”- MARCH 2
On Tuesday March 2, Rob will make his debut appearance on “The View” alongside costarEmilie de Ravin. ABC seemed pretty excited about it on their website news post, and they should have every reason to be. In fact, we’re surprised it took them this long to find an excuse to get him on!
“THE DAILY SHOW” – MARCH 2
If old women fawning over our favorite Brit isn’t quite your think, Rob will also be making his first appearance on “The Daily Showwith Jon Stewart” (!!!) that night. In fact, we are so excited about this appearance that we aren’t even going to waste our times speculating on how Jon Stewart will treat Rob. Hopefully however that appearance goes, it will blow our minds.
As for Rob’s “Twilight”costar, Kristen Stewart (her new movie “The Runaways” is out March 19), she’ll taking a seat on Jay Leno’s new “The Tonight Show”couch on March 10.
Robert Pattinson’s Aussie co-Star in the drama Movie Remember Me, Emilie de Ravin, had just four days to adopt the accent of a working class girl from New York’s Queens.
“We went to Queen’s for a little bit and tried to pick up something,” says Pattinson.
“It’s nothing like her Australian accent. Her Australian accent, I can’t even describe it, it’s just raucous…it’s the most Australian out of every-one I’ve met.”
The movie tells the story of two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with family tragedies. Melbourne actress de Ravin, 28, a star of hit TV series Lost, was cast in Remember Me because of the instant chemistry with Pattinson.
“I read with a tonne of girls for the part and watch loads of auditon tapes. She was the last person who came in,” Pattinson says.
“It’s so funny, the script is written for a Spanish girl from the Bronx, and she’s the total opposite of it. Bust she did have it, as soon as she walked into the room.
“She was just really spunky and she had a real hard-core attitude about her.”
Pattinson has another Australian link through Kristen Stewart,19,who plays his girlfriend Bella in Twilight and is rumoured to be his off-screen sweetheart.
“I talk to her mum about Australia. Her mum’s really, really into Australia,” Pattinson says.

The first round of voting for the 2010 Jameson Empire Awards is now complete. We’ve sifted through the virtual sacks of entries and assembled the shortlist of finalists who will be waiting with baited breath on the night itself. It’s not over yet, though. With the gold in sight there’s still time to cast your vote and see your pick of the year’s films and filmmakers lauded on Awards night. Let the final round of voting commence!
Can’t wait until March 12th to see Robert Pattinson’s new film? Fret not, Twihards, because we’ve got the scoop. We had a chance to attend a preview screening of Remember Me yesterday and can safely say that it will please existing Pattinson fans while – dare we say it – also introduce him to a whole new audience.
This is actually the second film Pattinson has released since the Twilight phenomenon made him one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. The actor starred as artist Salvador Dali in the limited release, Little Ashes, last year. Remember Me, tells the story of two people who meet through an unusual twist of fate and develop a relationship that may be threatened by some deep-rooted secrets.
So what can fans expect from the actor in Remember Me? There’s R-Patz in a T-shirt and jeans, R-Patz getting wet in the shower and R-Patz – gasp! – shirtless in bed. He also gets hot and heavy with co-star (and rumoured summer fling) Emilie De Ravin, but don’t get the wrong idea; the movie definitely showcases Pattinson’s acting chops, rather than his good looks and charm. His character, Tyler, is an impulsive and rebellious college student struggling to deal with a death in the family and to re-start his life. De Ravin (best known as Claire on Lost), plays the young stranger who tries to help him cope, oblivious to the bonds that connect the two. It’s a mature and dramatic departure for both actors, which may surprise some of their younger fans.
This isn’t a typical love story either, so don’t expect a Dear John-like weeper. And be warned – the ending is a stunner. We won’t spoil it for you here, but suffice to say, it will have you gasping in disbelief.
Still not convinced? Here’s another incentive for you to catch the new flick: the trailer for Eclipse will premiere just before the film. He may be trying to establish himself as more than just a one-hit wonder, but it seems like Pattinson can’t shake the Twilight thing too far away just yet.
In a few days, ‘Remember Me’ stars Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan will be interviewing each other for an Artist on Artist feature, and we need your questions! So please submit a question in the comments of this blog post, and maybe one of these hunks will give you a shout out. Here’s our q: Who would win in a fight, Edward Cullen or James Bond? Now it’s your turn!
“He’s today’s ultimate male fashion icon,” the GQ.COM team says.
Sir Philip Green, perhaps unsurprisingly, tops the list for his power and reach followed by Sir Harold Tillman and Selfridges ceo Paul Kelly. Designers Sir Paul Smith, Christopher Bailey and John Galliano also make the top 10, but perhaps more unexpected is the inclusion of Robert Pattison inside the top 5.
AS IT celebrates the launch of its new site (which went live yesterday – take a look), GQ.COM has announced its list of the most important men in British fashion – and the top 100 have been judged on more than just their financial muscle. As well as business acumen, the team has also appraised their creativity and social connections, coming up with a list with some likely suspects – and some more surprising choices.
