Water for Elephants on Box Office Mojo’s 2011 ”Preview: Ten Miscellaneous Contenders” List   Leave a comment

From Box Office Mojo:

While sequels, remakes, comic book adaptations and animated movies will inevitably dominate 2011?s box office, there will still be a few hits that don’t fall in to any of these categories. In 2009, there was Avatar, The Hangoverand The Blind Side, and in 2010 there was Inception. Here’s a look at ten of the contenders, including three high-profile book adaptations, a few alien invasion movies, a potential Twilight successor or two and some wholly original wild cards. – Water for Elephants (April 22): It’s easy to dismiss Robert Pattinson as just part of the Twilight craze thanks to the poor box office performance ofRemember Me last March. However, his next movie Water for Elephants is poised to be much more successful: it’s helmed by blockbuster director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend), has interesting co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz and is based on a reportedly popular book. You can check out the rest of the list here.

Robert Pattinson (TWILIGHT) stars in Oliver Irving’s surreal comedy as a struggling musician who moves in with his emotionally distant parents after a break-up. Paralyzed by depression, Arthur seeks solace in new-age self-help books, particularly It’s Not Your Fault by Dr. Levi Ellington (Powell Jones). To fully overcome his “quarter-life crisis,” Arthur hires Dr. Ellington to act as his personal therapist, including close observation of Arthur’s life with his dysfunctional parents. Elizabeth Reaser Speaks About Robert Pattinson and Breaking Dawn   1 comment

From E!Online:

Twilight’s Elizabeth Reaser feels for Robert Pattinson. She really does.

The obsessive fandemonium surrounding R.Pattz can’t be easy.

“It’s a complicated situation,” Reaser, who plays Esme in the Twi–franchise, told me while at Sundance’s Bing Bar to promote indie flick Homework. “If you’re going to be an actor and you don’t want to do dinner theater and you want to do movies like this, it’s a crazy risk.”

She continued, “I know for me, you want people to watch you tell stories. There’s some part of you that is somewhat of an exhibitionist… I’m not saying you want people to chase you down the street screaming and attacking you, but it’s a price you have to pay, I think.”

As for that steamy BD photo of Rob and Kristen Stewart, Reaser laughed, “At least everyone knows: OK, people are naked. Just in case the frenzy was dying down, just in case no one cared, here’s a naked picture of Rob and Kristen.”

Razzies? Who Cares? Well I do… Kinda   Leave a comment

Photobucket

As you all know by now Eclipse and Robert Pattinson have received a few Razzie Nominations. I have to say that to start off I didn’t really care. Huge franchises usually get a few Razzie nominations so it’s not a big deal really, until I came upon this…

Worst Actor

Robert Pattinson — Remember Me

Rob in Remember Me? Really? This really irks me because I bet a lot of people based this nomination on the ending of Remember Me. We all know that Remember Me really hit close to home and that some didn’t like it for that very  reason.  They  forgot to look at the bigger picture,  the real story behind the movie. To live in the moment, because that’s the only thing we’re sure we have.

I think Rob pulled an amazing performance in Remember Me and I think many people agree with me.  It makes me a bit mad that he was nominated for a razzie for Remember Me by people who are letting their judgement be clouded by a deeper emotional issue. What do you think?

I’m adding this comment that was tweeted by Moviehole because they’re spot on.
