‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ on several Fall Movie Preview Lists   3 comments

Breaking Dawn – Part is on several Fall Movie Preview lists

Rolling Stone:

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1’
Opening: November 18th
OK, anyone who reads my reviews knows that I don’t care much for the castrated film versions of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire bestsellers. But I have hopes for Breaking Dawn, Part 1 and even Part 2 because both are directed by Bill Condon, who’s the real deal (see Gods and Monsters, Kinsey and Dreamgirls). If anyone can put life into the marriage and long-awaited sex betweem the human Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the bloodsucking Edward (Rob Pattinson), it’s Condon. Twi-hards, I’m with you this time.

Lisa Howard (Siobhan) talks about working Robert Pattinson in ‘Breaking Dawn’   Leave a comment

PC: What happens to your character in the scene you auditioned with?
LH: It was a scene between Edward and my character, Siobhan, who is the head of the Irish clan – the cousin clan – of vampires.

PC: What was it like working with Robert Pattinson? You are a Broadway baby, so you can spot it: does he have the goods?
LH: Yeah, he does. He’s great. And, he’s really nice and he’s professional and easy to work with. He’s just great

Robert Pattinson’s interview with Bob Thompson from Postmedia News   2 comments

Here’s a interview with Robert Pattinson where he talks about Twilight, Water for Elephants and his future plans

Becoming a Hollywood heartthrob was never on Robert Pattinson’s to-do list. But he has become one of the hottest teen idols in the world.

Indeed, the poster boy continues to be idolized for his role as vampire Edward Cullen, opposite Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan, in the wildly popular Twilight film series.

And the fantasy blockbuster maintains its momentum, with the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I on Nov. 18, followed by Part II in November of 2012.

Water for Elephants and Breaking Dawn On Metromix Chicago’s ’31 Movies To Watch For In 2011′ List   4 comments

“Water for Elephants” (April 22)
Credit:20th Century Fox

Stars: Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz. Director: Francis Lawrence (“I Am Legend”).

2010’s “Remember Me” was supposed to be Pattinson’s chance to prove his appeal beyond Edward Cullen, but that movie has already been forgotten by all but his hardcore fans. Now he has another shot in this Great Depression-era circus-set love triangle between a veterinarian (Pattinson), an equestrian (Witherspoon) and her animal trainer husband (Waltz). And if this one doesn’t work either, Pattinson’s next historical romance, “Bel Ami,” is due later in the year.

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part One)” (Nov. 18)

Stars: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner. Director: Bill Condon (“Dreamgirls”).

Sorry Bella/Jacob fans (is that Bacob or Jella?), our angsty heroine’s heart has always been with cool vampire Edward. And “Dawn” is when the soulmates marry, get busy and have a little human-vamp über-baby. How much of these antics we’ll see in part one of the two part finale is not yet clear. But fangirls are already quivering with anticipation at reports of torrid love scenes. (No doubt still still safely within the series’ PG-13 limits.)
