One of our ToR member, (we consider her one even if she doesn’t post, as she’s been supporting us from the start) Shannon aka Schelmy is going through a rough time right now. Some of you might know her, she was in NYC with Nat & I at the Water for Elephants Premiere. Tuesday, her husband fell through a skylight and dropped 25 feet to the ground. He was very lucky to survive his fall, however he has many broken bones, will need many surgeries and a has long road to recovery ahead of him.
We wanted to post a special message for Shannon, her husband and their family. We’re sending tons of positive thoughts your way girl. Please join us and leave a message for Shannon and her hubby below.

As you all know we tend to stick to Rob stuff on the site, however Doubleday recently contacted us regarding a new book called The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Summit has bought the film rights for the novel and Doubleday was offering us the chance to get a review copy as well as an Advance Reading Copy to give out to our readers. The book has not yet been released, it will be released on September 13th, which gives the winner of the contest a chance to read the novel before everyone.
Here’s my review of the book:

The Night Circus brings you into the midst of a universe of dreams. A place where the smell of caramel wafts through the air and the lights glow magically under the night sky, for the circus only takes place at night and no one knows when it will arrive or when it leaves. However all is not as magical as it seems behind the scenes of Le Cirque des Rêves, for the circus is only a platform for a duel being played out between two rivals. A duel that is a game of wits and imagination. From a young age Celia and Marcus have been trained by their respective masters for this challenge, however no one expected them to fall hopelessly in love with each other and from that moment on everything changes…
The Night Circus is simply amazing, a must read. I’m an avid reader and I read this book in 24 hours. This book is a page turner, once you start you won’t be able to put it down. A stellar debut novel for Erin Morgenstern. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Pick this book up as soon as it comes out, you won’t regret it!

Here are detagged as well as black & white versions of the new Breaking Dawn stills featuring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Sorry about the second still, I had issues detagging it. I wouldn’t have posted it but I figured some of you might want it.
Bel Ami finished filming in April 2010 (before Water for Elephants began shooting). Since then we’ve barely heard anything about when the movie will be released. We’ve seen a few stills, a trailer that was quickly pulled, we’ve heard whispers here and there but nothing has been officially confirmed by Protagonist film. We’ve heard that Bel Ami might premiere at TIFF (which we really, really hope will happen). However we have no official confirmation yet.
We’ve been wondering, what’s going on with Bel Ami? When will we get an official release date?
In an interview with Total Films back in March Rob said the following:
“We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically a shit who wins everything at the end it’s really difficult to market it – especially with me in it,” Pattinson tells TF exclusively.
“Everyone’s worried that everyone’s going to be thinking, ‘Oh I want him to be nice, he’s got to be nice to all the ladies’.”
Which means that they were having trouble marketing the movie because it would ruin Rob’s “good guy” image. However to me, this doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. All actors play various roles, good and bad. A role does not define the nature of the actor behind the character.
The trailer which was also seen by many people has received great reviews that can be sees here. Which means that people are anticipating this film.
8. Bel Ami
The Story of the rise to power of Georges Duroy in Paris by manipulating the city’s most influential and wealthy women. This film stars Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and many are anxiously waiting to see if Robert can hold his own against Hollywood sirens like Uma Thurman and Kristen Scott Thomas.
So my question is the following: The demand is there, when is it going to be released?

There’s a very simple answer to all your questions! There’s a very good chance that the film will have its World Premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month. I was told that it would be although we won’t know until next Tuesday when they announce the next round of Galas and Special Presentations. If it is, that would explain why there’s been no release announced since most studios, especially for indies, will use Toronto as a place where distributors will look at the film and bid to buy it. That’s really the way to go. So, if they wanted to submit it for TIFF, and if they hoped it would get in, it would have made no sense at all for them to have released it. It would do MUCH better if it played TIFF, got picked up there, and then got released.
So, the simple answer is…it isn’t being released because they are going to use TIFF to get the best deal possible, which is what all fans should want. That is, IF it will be playing there.
