Water for Elephants

Release Date: 4/22/11
Genre: Romance, Drama

Robert Pattinson takes on a non-sparkly role and joins a traveling circus as its veterinarian. He and the star performer (Reese Witherspoon) fall in love, much to the dismay of her husband (Christoph Waltz), the cruel head animal trainer. Sara Gruen’s adapted novel examines the hardships of being in the “most spectacular show on Earth.”

Water for Elephants on Box Office Mojo’s 2011 ”Preview: Ten Miscellaneous Contenders” List   Leave a comment

From Box Office Mojo:

While sequels, remakes, comic book adaptations and animated movies will inevitably dominate 2011?s box office, there will still be a few hits that don’t fall in to any of these categories. In 2009, there was Avatar, The Hangoverand The Blind Side, and in 2010 there was Inception. Here’s a look at ten of the contenders, including three high-profile book adaptations, a few alien invasion movies, a potential Twilight successor or two and some wholly original wild cards. – Water for Elephants (April 22): It’s easy to dismiss Robert Pattinson as just part of the Twilight craze thanks to the poor box office performance ofRemember Me last March. However, his next movie Water for Elephants is poised to be much more successful: it’s helmed by blockbuster director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend), has interesting co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz and is based on a reportedly popular book. You can check out the rest of the list here.

Reviews for The International & US Water for Elephants Trailers   Leave a comment

Thanks to Water for Elephants Film for gathering all these.

From Screen Rant — International Trailer:

The combination of LaGravenese’s penchant for adapting melodramatic literature and Lawrence’s brand of visual flair looks to have yielded some nice results, judging by this new theatrical preview.

From MTV — International Trailer:

Is it just me or did anyone else get chills when that little girl gasps at the 1:22 mark after Marlena shows off a magnificent horse trick? This is definitely a film we’re looking forward to.

From The Film Stage — International Trailer:

I can’t wait to see this if only for the great experience it should deliver in a theater, as hinted at by the wonderful shots and use of color on display.

From Cinema Blend — International Trailer:

This international trailer doesn’t show off too much new stuff, but it does expand on the beautiful cinematography we’ve seen accompanying this movie thus far.

From First Showing — International Trailer:

We featured the official US trailer for this back in December but I’m happy to feature more because it looks phenomenal, one of my most anticipated in spring.
