NEW Robert Pattinson’s interview in ‘The Sunday Times’   4 comments

Here’s Robert Pattinson’s interview in ‘The Sunday Times’ – Out tomorrow!

preview

The best thing about Robert Pattinson is how weird he is. If he weren’t acting, he’d be the one in the office grinning with half a mouth and going out of his way to avoid the water cooler. He’s friendly, but weird — with a laugh like Butt-head if he’d gone to a nice independent school in Barnes. We met in May at the Cannes film festival, once he’d finished his cigarette under a sky barely holding its rain. To call his clothes “grunge” would be a disservice to the thought that goes into grunge. It’s just messy: lumberjack shirt, T-shirt, trainers, white jeans. “I’m so hung-over,” he moans, as I turn the tape on. “I feel absolutely disgusting.”

The room is packed with soggy hacks. They sit in clusters, for 15 minutes of R-Patz, for a quote about Twilight to spread over the internet. The vampire saga is over, but remains undead. From 2008 to 2012, those five films, based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels, made £2 billion worldwide and fostered a fan base still fervently in love with their leading man. To many, he will always be Edward, the immortal who cared and fell in love with Bella (Kristen Stewart). They added to the mystique by becoming an off-screen couple, too. Throw in his key role in Harry Potter and it’s unsurprising that the pallid hunk has spent much of his life in the headlines. It’s been an odd coming-of-age for the youngest of three, who grew up in a polite London suburb and, as I find out, doesn’t really like big films.

Photographer Jana Cruder talks about her photoshoot with Robert Pattinson   Leave a comment

From Jana Cruder

JANA_CRUDER_ROBERT_PATTINSON

It was a warm day in LA, I had an hour to set up and moments to create.  I did what I usually do, arrived early, game plan in mind, gear charged and ready to go.  I checked into the hotel, set up my scenes, tested the lights and walked myself through what my 5 minutes with Robert would be.   The clock ticked away, he was 3o minutes late.  I was convinced they cancelled.   Moments after that my client walked in and said they’re on their way.   My heart started racing and my fingers started sweating.  I double checked everything again, lights, cameras and exposure readings.

Robert walked in, said hello and shook everyone’s hand, I introduced myself as his photographer and he looked at me and said ” I like your pants “,  happy I chose the yellow ones that day.    I had set up in a small room in the suite and after Robert and I entered my client shut the door.  That was a blessing.  I was happy it was him and I,  being one on one with those in front of my lens helps me connect in and have a real chance to talk, try to know each other in a short amount of time where we both feel vulnerable, who is he and who am I?   We talked and we worked through the set up’s I had,    My brother was in town visiting so I looped him in to help hold a reflector and Robert and him started a conversation about the tattoo my brother had, a-ha a Star Wars fan, of course who isn’t.   A moment later, a voice yells through the door ” 1 minute ” Robert and I look at each-other like  wow – really?! We’re just getting going.

I still had more ideas and images to make.  I asked if he wouldn’t mind stepping outside, for something a little different and he agreed.   I pulled out one of my magic makers and it immediately caught Roberts attention, he was very intrigued,  I gave it to him and he played with it and loved the idea of an image with it…that moment created an opportunity to create this image, by bringing him into the process of the image creation I felt I earned a touch more of his trust. Together we made #MAGIC he was so nice and I hope to have more opportunities to create and collaborate with him.

After all that is what its all about.

New Robert Pattinson, Guy Pearce and David Michôd interview with Filmoria + 2 NEW Pictures from Press Junket   1 comment

Robert-Pattinson-David-Michod-and-Guy-Pearce-at-The-Rover-interview (1)

It becomes clear after only a few minutes being in a room with them that the trio of Robert Pattinson, Guy Pearce, and David Michôd have formed an easy camaraderie with one another. Their film, The Rover, had its premiere months ago at Cannes, and they’ve been on a busy press circuit promoting the movie through various festivals and release dates worldwide. They recently stopped in London for the UK premiere of the film and Filmoria was lucky enough to have a seat at the table to discuss this newest project.

The Rover, is set in the near future following a severe economic collapse of the western world. Law and order are pretty well in disarray and in the middle of the Australian Outback is Eric (Guy Pearce) who just wants to get his car back, stolen by a band of thieves. While tracking the criminals, he runs into Rey (Robert Pattinson), the younger brother of one of the men who stole his car, and the only person who knows where they may have gone. They strike up an unlikely partnership in order to get Eric’s most prized possession back.
