*VIDEO* Does Robert Pattinson Think He’ll Win Best Kiss At MTV Movie Awards   1 comment

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards are less than a month away, on Sunday, June 5, and “Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson is hoping he and Kristen Stewart can once again take home the prize for Best Kiss.

“It’s kind of terrifying if you suddenly stop winning it. You’re like, ‘Oh God!’ ” Pattinson told MTV UK about his chances this year after winning at back-to-back shows.

This year, Stewart is not only nominated for kissing Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” but also onscreen romantic rival Taylor Lautner. “It’s almost worse than if you stop winning, like, acting awards or whatever,” Pattinson continued, sharing his disappointment at the idea of losing this year. “If you can’t kiss anymore, it’s like, ‘What? I’m still good at kissing!’ “

The film is nominated seven other times, including for Best Movie, Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Best Breakout Star and Best Fight, so there’s a good chance that if Pattinson doesn’t take home the Golden Popcorn for Best Kiss, he won’t go home empty-handed.

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis and will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

What Happened To The Costumes From ‘Water For Elephants’? Insider Reveals All   Leave a comment

From Hollywood Crush:

Have you ever wondered what becomes of all the amazing (and no doubt, costly) costumes after a movie finishes filming? Because that’s ALL we could think about during “Water for Elephants.” Seriously. The stunning gowns, the beaded circus wear, the boots worn by Robert Pattinson—what would happen to those things? Were they just going to be thrown in a trash can somewhere (and if so, WHERE IS THAT TRASH CAN)?

Luckily for us, “WFE” costume designer Jacqueline West stepped in before we descended into Dumpster-diving madness and provided some answers. The clothes, at least for “WFE,” were not discarded (phew!). In fact, Jacqueline said that Reese and Rob actually kept some of the items.

“Reese, because we had multiples in most of hers, she kept the dresses, and I think one of each of her performance costumes,” Jacqueline said, prompting us to wonder where Reese could possibly wear some of the circus outfits (Oscars red carpet?).

Of course, Rob didn’t go home empty-handed either.

“I think Rob kept his leather jacket that he jumps off the train in,” she said, adding that co-starChristoph Waltz also likely kept a top hat he wore in the film because he “loved it so much.”

Yet, even with Reese, Rob and Christoph holding on to some of the pieces, there’s still a lot left over. Jacqueline, who said that she kept some of the remaining items for a costume exhibit, explained that mostly everything else gets archived with the movie studio.

“If the movie is considered a costume movie, and it’s a hit, they put them on display for studio tours and stuff,” she said.

In other words, there’s a chance we’ll get to see Rob’s apparel up-close? Yes, please.

Donna Scott talks about her scenes with Robert Pattinson   1 comment

From Hollywoodcrush:
Donna went on to say that Barbara is a tour de force who specializes in seduction—particularly that of innocent young men who join her circus troupe, which brings us to the subject of Donna’s kissing scenes with Rob.

“I love that I got paid to kiss Robert Pattinson and he wasn’t sick,” Donna said, citing Reese and Rob’s admissions of runny noses during their scene. “He was very sweet. He’s genuinely shy,” she said.

Donna explained that during the scene where her character is performing her burlesque dance and takes her top off to “twirl her tassels,” Rob was particularly taken aback.

“When I did it, I turn around and take off my top, his face was, I think, very genuine,” she recalled. “He’s like, ‘Oh my God, am I really seeing this?’ In my opinion, he was a little bit shy about speaking to me in the makeup trailer for a few days after that day,” she added with a chuckle. “It was a little bit hard for him to look me in the eyes. It was so genuine.”

WFE Costume Designer Jacqueline West talks about Rob’s mainly style   Leave a comment

From Hollywoodcrush:

There’s no denying Robert Pattinson has a certain something. Experts have tried to pinpoint the precise formula for his unique brand of awesome (unkempt hair + self-effacing personality = the man of our dreams?), but the magical recipe continues to allude. Being the benevolent blog that we are, we decided to aid the scientific community by asking someone who’s got loads of personal insight—”Water for Elephants” costume designer Jacqueline West.

You see, Jacqueline gave Rob his favorite pair of 1930s underpants (no really, read all about it), and we figured, who better than the woman who dressed him (figuratively at least!) to give us some dish. Jacqueline spoke to us about Rob’s cool style off set and how his physique was different than what she expected after seeing “Twilight.”

“You know, he’s very casual. He wears jeans and hoodies and tennis shoes, but he has a really, really nice style,” she said. “Everything is well selected, but he’s very casual. He is a jeans and T-shirt, sweatshirt kind of guy.” In other words, totally our type (hear that Rob?).

Jacqueline also added that Rob cleans up “nicely”, but that she prefers his “dirtied” up look in the flick.

“This movie, I used to tell friends, ‘he really dirties up well.’ We’ve all seen him…used to seeing him so scrubbed and clean in the ‘Twilight’ movies. It’s great to see him dirty and sweaty and dusty and really in working clothes,” she said (as if we needed another reason to go out and buy a ticket for the movie). “It was a nice transformation and it made him such a different person than the other films I’ve seen him in.”

Speaking off those other films, Jacqueline said that she watched “Twilight” to get a sense of Rob’s body shape but that it didn’t really do justice to his physique.

“I didn’t realize from the ‘Twilight’ movies how really manly he is. I didn’t realize until I really met Rob in person how really manly I could make his wardrobe and that he would be able to wear it so well,” she said. “I didn’t know how big he is. He’s really like a Gary Cooper or someone like that, he has incredible stature.”

Breaking Dawn Trailer and Brazilian Breaking Dawn Premiere News   3 comments

Sérgio Sá Leitão, President of RioFilme, tweeted about the first Breaking Dawn trailer and the Brazilian Premiere. Not really breaking news.

The first official Breaking Dawn trailer will be exclusively released by MTV during the MTV Movie Awards 2011 in June. And right after on MTV’s site.

The Breaking Dawn promotion in Brazil, by Paris Filmes (Brazilian distributor), will be the biggest ever made for a movie in the Brazilian market.

And the premiere is confirmed. Still no date. No details.

Water for Elephants Costume Designer Jaqueline West talks about Robert Pattinson   2 comments

From MTV Hollywoodcrush

From a dapper black tux to grungy combat boots, Robert Pattinson dons plenty of handsome looks in the upcoming flick, “Water for Elephants.” So, really, who would have guessed that his pièce de résistance on set was none other than 1930s-style underwear!

Yes, that’s right. Period underwear. Rob had to wear them to get in character for “WFE,” and apparently he was a big fan, according to costume designer Jacqueline West.

“He loved that I had period underwear for him,” she told Hollywood Crush recently (no doubt sparking the envy of girls EVERYWHERE). “Yes, and he loved putting that on every morning before he put his costume on, you know, he said that in his trailer, and he said it made him, it transported him to the ’30s. He said he got out of bed feeling like a different person.”

The underpants, along with his other period costumes, helped Rob step into the role of Jacob Jankowski, a vet student who joins the circus during the Great Depression after losing his parents, Jacqueline shared.

“I can see Rob, who is very languid, he’s very modern in his movements and he’s very cool. I could see him sort of kind of become Jacob and become a ’30s young man, who was, you know, gonna work hard to carve an existence in this circus,” she said.

Sorry, we’re still stuck on her description of languid, modern and cool Rob.

Sigh. Okay, now moving on.

Jacqueline also added that Rob, who was “manlier” than she expected (more on that next week!), carried the clothes very well.

“He would wear clothes so beautifully and you would see kind of a transformation, you know. If he put on those World War I combat boots, his work boots, you can see him stand differently. And I could tell, Rob would say, ‘Oh, this really feels right. This feels great.'”

As for whether or not Rob’s undies make a cameo in the film, Jacqueline hasn’t seen the final cut to know, so you’re just gonna have to wait until the movie comes out on April 22 to find out!

Are you excited to watch “Water for Elephants?”
