There’s been speculation for weeks about whether “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be attending the Golden Globes this Sunday.
Here’s what we’ve found out.
Pattinson and Stewart “are not attending the Globes,” an organizer tells Gossip Cop.
We’ve also spoken with sources at Summit, who confirm that Pattinson and Stewart will NOT be at the studio’s after party. Sources at NBC, which is broadcasting the awards, also added that they had no knowledge of the two attending.
As reported elsewhere, “Twilight” actor Taylor Lautner will be at the event.
The three principal actors, Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner have apparently completed their negotiations and are “signed,” indicating that Summit may have brokered a deal which would cover either one or two movies. Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is back on board and hard at work on what will be either one or two films, but whatever the outcome, Breaking Dawn will be made “with an eye toward beginning to shoot in Vancouver this fall.”
Larry Richman (@larry411) has written an article outlining the details surrounding Breaking Dawn, including details that Chris Weitz, director of New Moon, may not return to direct. You can read the whole article here.
Get ready for more vampire love in 2010 as Stephenie Meyer’s next “Twilight” installment hits theatres. This other-worldly outing finds Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) caught in the middle of an all-out war between the vampires and werewolves. Like the Harry Potter franchise, diehard “Twilight” fans know this story by heart. For them, nothing beats the sight of Robert Pattinson, “Twilight”‘s 108-year-old vampire hunk, looking longingly at Bella. That alone should turn “Eclipse” into a killer at the box office.
Rob was nominated in the categories for Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite On-Screen Team (with Kristin Stewart and Taylor Lautner).
Johnny Depp beat him out in Fave Movie Actor, but hey, it’s Johnny Depp.
Rob, Kristen, and Taylor won for Favorite On-Screen Ensemble, and Twilight: New Moon won for Favorite Franchise and Favorite Movie. Taylor won for Favorite Male Breakout Actor.
The Twilight Saga was the big winner of the night, taking home four awards for favorite movie, franchise, on-screen team and male breakout actor, Taylor Lautner. The series’ second installment, New Moon, was released in November.
