Robert Pattinson fans did not seem too disappointed that the Twilight star could not be at the unveiling of his waxwork at Madame Tussauds in London.
They had won a competition to be see the statue up close, which took four months and cost £150,000 to make, while a similar model was unveiled in the New York museum.

Here’s your chance to get face to face with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
Well, sort of..
Fans gathered in Times Square to catch a glimpse of the star. Only he wasn’t there in person. R-Pattz, as many of his fans call him, is the newest wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
And real or fake, fans can’t get enough of the actor.
Since Twilight released in theaters, the museum was inundated with requests for a Robert Pattinson figure. It took four months and $220-thousand dollars, but Robert Pattinson is now immortalized in wax. A team of artists studied hundreds of pictures and went through hours of video to recreate everything from his messy hair to sultry smile.
And Twilight fans will love this, not only does the museum let you pose for a picture next to R-Pattz, but you can even give him a kiss on the cheek.
