Soooooooo… I’m told I have to make this one good ;). I’m hearing alot of info that some of the NYC crazies are heading to VanCity to hunt down Rob. I’m not talking about the regular people who visit set here (those ppl are okay) I’m talking about the real crazies.

Now stuff like that kind of has me worried for Rob’s safety because let’s face it, this is Canada (I’m Canadian) and we’re not as well equiped security wise as the US. Sure there’s the RCMP. You know these guys:
No they don’t go around on horses. I’m sure some people do think that. Well they do, but only if you visit Parliament hill in Ottawa. That’s the only place you’ll see them on horses. But I’m scared it might take the entire RCMP task force to control this one.
Please if you care about Rob one bit don’t jump him, don’t yell at him. Don’t stalk him at his hotel! And another thing, some people think it’s fine to report where he is, which flight he’s on and the likes. That’s just wrong people!!!! How can you sleep at night? How can you do that when you know there’s some f*cking crazy psychos out there after this guy?! Would you like people sharing that info if you were in his shoes? Would you really? I don’t think so. So why are you doing it to him? Obviously you don’t care one little bit, you are not a fan if you are doing this. You’re just trying to make yourself seem important when in the end you’re only showing people how low you can go. How little morals you have.
I’ve been joking around saying: “Don’t make me go to Vancouver with my steel toed caps on” . It seems that alot of you guys would actually like me to be there! Completely agree, and very well said! I’m sure a LOT of the people stalking him from NYC are thinking “Oh, he’ll remember me.” Or “He just didn’t notice me last time.” C’mon already. Do you know how many fans he sees? Do you HONESTLY think you’d have a chance, anyway?
I think it’s great that some fans get to go see the shoots, as long as they are RESPECTFUL. He’s only a man, a gorgeous one, sure, after all. Treat him the way YOU would wish to be treated.

I couldn’t believe that someone would post information about the hotel he’s staying at, but how could someone dare to post the airlines and flight number he was on. That was utterly uncalled for and quite honestly one of the scariest things. Enough already!

If you have read all the fan reports from NYC, you will realize that you get more of a response from Rob if you are quiet and respectful of him while he works rather than screaming and disruptive.

People who do that are just low. Seriously get a life. I agree with you completely. Shit I live in Canada, and I could hop a plane to go down there to see the cast. But I’m not, and will never do that. I wouldn’t want to be associated with that madness because after the fact I’d feel really stupid for participating in that whole thing.
It’s true. I have lots of family and friends in Van but I would never in a million years add to the chaos. I’m glad it’s a closed set.
And here’s another request….if you are in Vancouver, and you DO have a Rob encounter, be cool and respectful. Try not to ask stupid questions or for crazy requests. At the end of the day, when he’s out chilling, that’s what he wants to do. Imagine how you would feel if people kept coming up to you in your down time and reminding you about work…. I really think he needs some time without people always ASKING him for something…

It is interesting that during his time in NYC many of the pics were from the set. Only a few pap pics of him out and about and in those cases he was quite unhappy that they were there. If I recall correct, I saw more out and about pics when he was filming New Moon in Vancover, heck even in Italy. It saddens me to think what it must have been like for him. I KNOW some will argue he’s a celebrity and blah, blah, blah. But at the same time, he is a person who deserves to be treated as such. Okay my rant is done! (I think so!)

What saddens me is this…When they were filming New Moon in VanCity last Spring…we were able to see all of the cast, including Rob…go out for dinner…party in small bars…Go out and shop and do some errands….pick up a coffee…walk to a hair appointment…WITHOUT bodyguards. Yes they were noticed…yes they were approached…yes they were papped. But they were not in danger of their lives or at risk of injury. I believe they were very happy here in Canada. Most of the pics we had seen of all of them here showed they were happy and they were having a great time! I would so want this to remain the same for them this time around.
It is pretty scary to what level the fascination for Rob has become…Everyone has the right to travel and do what they please….I am not saying that the fan after visiting sets in N.YC. ALL SUMMER, has no right to come to Canada to try to get one more glimpse. Litr’lly a glimpse. If they feel the NEED to do this so be it…just remember please….The experiences that the cast including Rob have had here have been positive! It shows on their faces in past pics….Rob actually lifted his head and smiled often! You could clearly see that he could be himself. In some cases approached people and stopped to take pics and chat on his own free will. Respect this please…We Canadians are very proud…of our country and of ourselves….I pride on the fact that last Spring the New Moon cast were happy here in Canada! How you behave is a reflection of who you are….It starts with you..Respect and enjoy yourselves and in return you may be respected and rewarded with something in return ( A pic, an autograph, a few words) Shit this is stuff you learn in Kindergarten.

I don’t 100% agree with P, for like the first time. I think that going to sets is normal. People have been visiting movie sets since movies started being made, so it’s normal to want to be a part of the Hollywood magic. I think seeking out stars is pretty normal too – anyone that has ever been to Hollywood knows it’s just part of the biz. Maps to stars homes, celeb sighting at events, premieres, and restaurants like Mr. Chow and shops along Robertson Blvd. It happens to every celeb. Even Z-lister Tori Spelling has people crashing her events. lol
Now, running up and throwing yourself on celebs IS off limits. Unfortunately we can’t control these crazies and its up to the studio or the actor to protect A#1. I think the NYC crazies, the “miners” gave a lot of fans a bad name. Even the girls who visited set every day are fine as long as they were respectful. You can’t blame them for wanting to be part of the magic and movie making history with the hottest male star since Brad Pitt.
We surmise that Rob is really unhappy right now but the fact is we don’t know for sure. We do know he is doing exactly what he wants to be doing by acting in movies that he wants to and having his pick of scripts. Unfortunately for him the paparazzi and fans come as a package deal with fame.
And let’s not forget that 99% of the pics and vids that we enjoy every day are pap pics or set crasher pics. It’s kinda hard to accept a stance on anti-set crashing when it’s OK to consume the media online. You just can’t be OK with one without being OK with the other. I hope that makes sense without coming across as “oh that’s 2-faced” cos that’s not what I am saying.
And on that note I will be seeing Rob at the TCAs hopefully and I plan on going back to the Couve in September at some point. I look forward to seeing the friends I made while on my little Twilight Set Crashing Extravaganza last April and being a part of the fun again this fall.
And P I hope you don’t hate me for scratching my itch. I love ya gurl.
Hon, like I said in the beginning I have nothing against people who go visit the set and stuff like that. What I do have a problem with is people going bat shit crazy on him.
Regarding the pap pics I get what you mean and sometimes I don’t even know if I should be posting them but when I think about it I say well at least if people come here to see them they won’t be going to the pap sites and giving them hits to see them. Catch my drift?

So true that all the attention is part and parcel of the job…What amazes me is how the information highway has totally amplified the crazy.
At the start of Brad Pitt’s career if you wanted a picture of him it took 20 minutes to upload a photo compared to now being less then a second to retrieve anything you want…the internet was pretty damn slow…. not yet in everyone’s home…only a select few.
Before that…
The only time you could get a photo or info of your favourite star..was by actually buying the magazine. To see the stars..actually travel to Hollywood..Very few people knew where sets were located…unless they were right in your neighboorhood or knew someone who knew someone..it just wasn’t that easy 15 years ago…whole different ballgame now 🙂

I am going to Vancouver and I think I am going there earlier than the crazies are. I have many reasons why I wanna go and as much as I hope to catch a glimpse of the cast that is not a priority. Vacation first with me. Coming all the way from Norway only to wander around Vancity hunting for Rob is NOT my type of Vacation. Besides I am scared of vampires and werewolves, also Supernatural is filmed there and that means demons and their likes as well!! Also I hear there are forest fires not too far from Vancouver, eh…I am starting to wonder if my vacation isn’t becoming some sort of extreme sports??!! (not joking about the forest fires, that IS scary, the rest is LOL).
So I just hope to return to Norway in one sane (or insane whichever fits your fancy lol) piece…. maybe I could hire one of those non horse riding RCMP guys? heh..or hire FP with her steel toed caps….:-D
There’s fires in BC? Haven’t heard about it. But you’re pretty safe from fires in the city. We get big forest fires here but the only impact it has on us is the smoke which can be quite bad. But since we’ve had two shitty summers in a row there hasn’t been any huge forest fires recently.
Oh and for everyone’s information I’ve never actually used those boots on anyone nor would I ever. I’m not a violent person at all, in fact I totally hate violence in any form whatsoever.
I can give someone a verbal smacking in 2 seconds flat (although I’m sure many of you already know that) but I would never physically harm someone. I know you guys know that, but just making sure people don’t take the steel toed caps too seriously as it was meant as a joke. I do own those boots for real but they’re for work purpose only. Apparantly there are big forest fires somewhere in the BC or close to the BC area from what the news here have said yes.

Just checked it out and it seems the 3 major fires right now are near Okanagan, Kamloops and Kelowna. Not that close to VanCity.

Also the thing to keep in mind is that Canada does not have a large population vs. landmass. I know you hear alot about California wildfires and the likes on tv, but the situation is totally different in Canada since the huge fires usually occur far from urban areas where there is little to no population, as mostly the population is centered in specific areas of the Provinces. (Not many people want to live up North lol. Trust me, I wouldn’t want to live there)
When we have wildfires here they occur up North and I’m serious when I say that most of the time they occur in areas where there isn’t even roads to get to those areas.

I think that one reason so many movies shoot in Vancouver (along with great variety of scenes, experienced local crew and tax credits) is that Vancouver-ites are pretty mellow and leave “famous” people alone. It’s not unusual to spot actors out shopping or getting a bite to eat or even out partying and generally, locals keep the camera in pocket or wait respectfully for moment and not hassle. The problems come when out-of-towners add to the froth and the pap-a-media pile on by stalking celebs all over town killing their fun and disturbing the peace.
So consider keeping it chill and everyone is better off (though the people here aren’t the ones who really need this info ;-).
I totally agree. Being Canadian myself, we’ve had a few movies with big stars filmed here and I have never seen any kind of Frenzy whatsoever.
The thing is this time around many out-of-towners will be in VanCity.
Totally agree! My hubby and I spent a week in Vancouver last spring and completely fell in love with how relaxed and chill all the people we met were! We stayed at this insane B&B in North Vancouver (Deep Cove) and had so many run ins with different stars – completely had to reign in my squee fangirl many times as I didn’t want to ruin their day with my swooning!
Canadians are pretty chill like DaveO said. We tend to be very mellow and not intrude into other people’s lives, stars or not. When it comes down to it they’re all people like the rest of us.

He will likely not be able to be “normal” ever again… and I don’t wish him any bad luck… I want nothing but success for him… but I worry… I honestly worry everyday about him.. weird… I don’t even know that this feeling is completely normal.. or even any form or part of normal….but I do worry.. as I would for any friend or family member…. constantly.
All this said.. would Iove the opportunity to meet him.. speak with him.. absolutely… will I chase him across country, borders, …..I will not stalk his hotel…nor will I chase him down a street or interrupt his dinner….

The whole point behind the video was to make people realize that behind the actor is a real person like the rest of us, who has feelings and emotions. People too often tend to forget that with Rob. Which is sad.
