Rumour was that Jennie Garth had spoken about Rob’s love life to the New York Daily News and said: “I can’t say [if it’s Stewart or Reed], because that would be breaking my promise to [her husband, “Twilight” star Peter Facinelli], but he is dating one of them!”.
I didn’t believe for one second that Jennie had said those words. It’s tiring to see these mags trying to corner everyone to get them to spill on Rob’s love life. Can you imagine how Jennie felt when this hit the rumour mill?
Here is what Peter had to say this afternoon on Twitter:
Complete media fabrication. I read the transcript of what my wife actually said, which was, “My husband talks to me about Twilight stuff, but I promised him I wouldn’t talk about it.” Somehow that got turned into this. @sorichii So hey is it true your wife said this??

When I read the news on my phone today and saw this I totally disbelieved this and pretty much knew her words were turned around. Glad Peter sets the record straight. Though it is pretty sad once again a trash News starting crap again.
I agree. I thought the same thing. Jennie’s been in the industry for a while. She would not make a slip like this. I was just waiting for Peter’s comment to post. I knew he was going to blow it out of the water.
Can you imagine how shitty this must have made her feel? Poor Jennie.

I’m pretty sure I actually stopped breathing when I read this. Who knows what the truth is anymore? I know he can date whoever he wants but it’s not me so I’m not happy! I know fantasy land and reality land don’t meet but a girl can dream.
I’m team whatever makes Rob happy. But I wish ppl would stop trying to “catch them” or turning quotes around to make it seem like someone said such and such a thing.
It seems like everyone has gone insane.
I’m just glad I’m not him. I don’t know how he’s coping at all. He’s said he doesn’t like crowds and he doesn’t like the screaming and all the rest of it. I would’ve gone mad and gone into hiding by now. Next thing you know we’ll have secret footage of him having his eyebrows done or going to the loo. Definitely some scary insanity.
folks r crazy…sure he and kristen look good but doesn’t EVERYBODY look better when they’re with Rob? in my pic with him my friends say i look good…i tell them it’s because of Rob. could care less about megan fox. don’t think she’s all that. but the pics of her with Rob…I’m like damn she looks good. i’m working on this theory…it isn’t an exact science yet but i feel my hypothesis brewing. everyone’s sex factor goes up when near Rob…it’s cuz he’s got too much. henceforth! kristen and rob look good together ONLY cuz she gets so much screen time with him. LOL (to myself). i too am on team whatever makes Rob happy. whatever Rob wants Rob should get.
Huge props to Peter for clearing everything up and also to Gossip Cop for taking this too. I still find it sad that this has to be done, why can’t this media stuff actually LEARN? Is it so hard to check your source, and proofread an interview? Of course it is cos all it comes down to is the almighty dollar, it is all about selling issues, or getting hits so whatever they come up with they will. So what if they are called out on the bluff later. Issues have beens old and hits have been gained. Mission accomplished.
Sad but that is how it is. I am so fed up with all this speculation, of course I am as curious as the next person but still to speculate and demanding to know about Rob’s love life (would you believe ppl have actually started a PETITION for “Robsten” to confirm their relationship?!) is out of line and intrusive. Even with Peter’s setting the record straight the gossip site still spin it to that Jennie spilled the beans by simply editing what Peter said to just “I promised him I wouldn’t talk about it”. WIth this they say it is her rep that confirmed this. I actually believe the real truth here is with what Peter said and Jennie’s rep repeated it but the gossip site put their own twist to this and STILL made it seem like Jennie dished on Rob. Disgusting!
Personally I hope they’re happy, whatever they got together I hope they’re happy and are able to just ignore this crap that is going on, I am no longer “nonsten” nor am I “Robsten” either, I am just whatever makes ’em happy! :-D.
