Update: Thank you for all the comments, e-mails, DMs and @ replies, we have read them all. We are so grateful we have you guys. Much love from the bottoms of our hearts. We still need to think out our decision and take a breather. It’s been a rough couple of weeks for all of us here.
After events that have taken place over the past few weeks we find ourselves in the need to step back and re-think what we will do with Thinking of Rob. (In case you missed our earlier post about people pretending to be us at the Remember Me premiere last night click here). But this has not been the only issue we have dealt with over the last few weeks even months.
To be honest for all the hard work we put into ToR and all the backlash we’ve recently gotten we’re not sure it’s worth the time, effort and money anymore. We put in a huge amount of time into running ToR and at the end of the day we’re not sure it’s worth it.
So we’ve come to a decision that we will all step away from the site for a few days to think over our decision. Whether it’s to take ToR offline or to continue running it.
We’d like to thank all of you who visit us on a regular basis and those who have been great supporters of ToR from the very start. If we decide to close the site it will be with a heavy heart.
The site won’t be updated during the next few days.

I was at the Jimmy Fallon show, I didnt see or hear anything about people pretending to be you all, Im sure anything is possible. I will say, some Twi fans were loud, obnoxious and an embarrassing at times, we went over after JF to the RM premiere and what a mess, the cops were complaing, saying how out of control girls were. Its sad. Robert Pattinson will NEVER be there boyfriends LOL why treat an act this way, I will never understand.

I am going to cry. Marie, I have been here from the start and this is my first place to go for Rob news – every day, several times a day. I don’t know how I missed what happened because I’m here every day, but I just got home fromm work and saw this post on Facebook and I have tears in my eyes.
You are all a class act. This is a classy site. You have done so much for Rob, starting a campaign against the invasive paparazzi, raising funds for Haiti, and keeping our hearts thumping daily over our precious Rob.
I feel like I know you a teensy bit from all the emails I have sent you (sorry) and you’ve always been kind enough to get back to me.
I can’t even imagine the hard work and tons of time that goes into running a site like this. I’ve always felt that this is the Rob site that had the, how do I say this, more mature, fans, who did not resort to bashing anyone. Over the past few months I have really missed the many comments that the site used to have.
All I can say is don’t let the bastards get you down. I have to go back and find out what happened, but I am going to be really selfish here and hope that you continue to run the site. Maybe you can post less frequently and maybe you can ban people who don’t play by the rules. I don’t what you can do about people pretending to be from ToR. That’s disgusting.
Whatever you decide, I have enjoyed every minute of this site. Very well done. Hopefully not done forever!

I can certainly understand how frustrating & embarassing this latest episode has been for you – especially because there is nothing you can do to prevent it from happening again. Like others, I will respect whatever decision you come to. However, I would hope that you would not let a few dishonest & disrepectful people dissuade you from doing something you love and that brings such happiness to others. I had been wondering just today how you managed to provide so much information, news and Rob porn – it must take a huge amount of time and effort, for which all true fans of Rob are truly grateful. That people should masquerade as representatives of ToR and then cause huge embarrassment to you, damaging your superb reputation in the process, is just unacceptable and unforgiveable. Much as I hope you will continue with your site I do understand if you decide that it’s just not worth the hassle. There isn’t really much else that I can add that hasn’t been said already. I do feel horrible that a few people are going to ruin it for the rest of us. This is the best site and I would hate for it to disappear.
This is very similar to Stephenie Meyers situation wtih her Midnight Sun being spread via the internet without her permission, and I am sure her fans wrote to her begging to continue on – it takes a lot of soul searching to come to a decision that potentially affects hundreds of thousands of people that view this site, and I know that you won’t take that lightly.
I know it also takes a lot of time and money to run a site like this, and we sincerely apprecaite all the work you ladies do to provide us with the most up to date/gossip free information on Rob. We rely on people such as yourselves, the creative types and dedication it takes on your part, to allows us this small insite into Robs’ life. Please consider us before you take the hasty action of closing the site down.
Consider first changing the site to a members only sign-up site.

I know how awful if is to have your name used in false and disgusting context- it’s a violation of your boundaries as humans and as managers of a website. It’s very risky, this kind of website. This website has been such a source of entertainment for me, and such a good and mature source of information. I come here to get a little Rob fix, or check the date on releases or just to browse 🙂 I truly hope you keep going… I like the idea of a members only website, however that isn’t going to stop the crazies. I read this message this morning about Hiatus. First,I could not understand the word “Hiatus”mean(cause I am not native English speaker),so I checked out what the word meant was. Then I shocked. I hope that you don’t close the site. It something special and not the same as other sites. The news are always up to date and the small moments of heaven (various pics of Rob and the ones in B&W) are unique. Something what I love the most about this site. 🙂

Running a celeb site can be rough, I know. Especially when you’re either the only one out there, or the one that’s under the most demand. Trust me, I totally get it. Seth Green may not be as out there as Robert, but it still gets hard and overwhelming. I’ve almost dropped out a few times myself.
I’ve taken steps back a couple of times since my page has been running. But remember it’s not just for the fans, it’s for Robert. You may have to evaluate your content and your other publicity. I also share on FB and Twitter but it can be a bit much if there’s a lot going on. While I like being the first to share new info, it’s always best to let things sizzle for a bit before continuing forward. Be choosey and take your times. In the end it’s the classier thing to do.
Don’t let the outside Nay-Sayers shut you down. It is ultimately your site and you have every right to share what you like, how you like and when you like. Don’t let others destroy your integrity.

I find it really interesting that my lone voice of critique was removed from the comments. My comment was that although I like your site, I think taking a hiatus is a good idea. This is so sad knowing that you lovely ladies have to make such a tough decision after your great contruibution to this site…i really, truely appreciate for your fantastic work on the site, as i can often see newest updates being put on here very late at night.. I totally know what that means to you all. And I really hope that you can keep running the site because coming here to the site has become my everyday life and it is the only Rob site I would go to…Pleease stay! Hope you ladies can be out of difficulties soon.

shit, it sucks that people are trying to prosper on somebody else’s hard work. always had been and will be. people are assholes.
but you know most of us love you girls and everything you do for us. i have no clue how much you invest in this site. i can only imagine it’s a lot, as you always provide us with the info and right as it happens.
you have to do what is best for you. if this is not going to bring you any satisfaction any more, only pain and heartache, then it’s not worth it. ha! spoken like a true mom.

If you must give up the site then I support your decision and understand completely. I hope you don’t. I don’t always post replies/responses to your posts but I read them! I’m here at least once a day, if not more. You gals do such a great job and I hope that you won’t let a couple of buttmunches belittle what you do here. I understanding the need for a hiatus, but PLEASE don’t give up on your site. ToR was one of the very first Rob-sites I discovered, and it’s still in my top faves.

Please don’t let their horrible behavior influence your decisions.
