Yesterday we did a poll asking you guys if you were losing interest in The Twilight Saga. 161 People answered the poll, which is awesome, thank you! 45% of people (73 votes) voted that they were losing interest in The Twilight Saga vs 55% (88 votes) who voted that they were still interested in The Saga.
However, the people who voted that they were losing interest in the Saga commented that they weren’t losing interest in Robert Pattinson (and his Twilight co-stars) and said they couldn’t wait to see him in his other movies (Water for Elephants & Bel Ami).
The reasons stated for the loss of interest in The Saga? Some people said that they simply lost interest in the whole Twilight thing and now wanted to see the stars in other roles, others said it was because of all the drama that goes on which gets to be a little too much and some said it was due to mismanagement. The majority said that even though they were losing interest they would still go see Breaking Dawn to support their favorite actors. You can read all the comments here.
Why did we do this poll? Well as a Rob site we get many comments here on the site, on Facebook, on Twitter and by e-mail and we’ve noticed over the past few months that people had been less enthusiastic about the Saga, yet still very much interested in Rob’s upcoming movies. We decided to reach out to you guys and ask you what your thoughts were. Ironically enough Rob always said that people were more interested in seeing him as Edward Cullen than in any other roles. I guess we proved him wrong 😉

Glad we proved him wrong! He underestimates the interest in him as an actor (or better yet: musician 😉 ) in my humble opinion. His performances get better with each movie and I love to see him play all the different characters: It shows his versitality (excuse my typo’s) and abilities as an actor….

This just goes to show that those of us who are true fans of Rob will support him in whatever he does. Over the period of being Robsessed, I’ve learned a lot from this beautiful man. He’s more then just that guy who plays Edward Cullen. He’s a man of many talents. He sings, plays the piano and guitar and he sure knows how to pick his character roles that definitely leave us wanting MORE! Rob is amazing at what he does. What else is there to say? I mean, sure, I can think of a few… but I plan on keeping this rated PG lol.
Rob is a great actor, I look forward to seeing him in other films. Twilight is just a parenthesis.

I can’t wait to see him in his new projects, and Kristen as well. They’re both very talented and versatile actors and it’s only the beginning. In fact (don’t shoot me!) I almost wish they didn’t do Breaking Dawn so they could to move on more quickly away from Twilight. I was blown away by Rob in RM. It’s so promising. Can’t wait for Bel Ami and WFE!
i think more than anything that its down to Eclipse,
well many say its tere favourite, their just isn’t the enmotional attachment there that we all felt with Twilight (witch i fully blame David Slade for)
sure he has all the right lines n scenes there but the way it comes across on screen just isn’t right to express the feel of the saga
if someone had not seen the first two i very much dout they would see eclipse and then feel that they HAVE to see the others,
hopefully breaking dawn can renue my face but were;ll just ahve to wait and see
i am really glad to see people are taking more interest in the actors other roles though
I agree with you all, it’s a pitty that most of his fans are young and can’t enjoy his films without supervision…. for me he will get better he has a special sparkle and he is different someone in ten years will be bigger than anything around, hopefully married and living life…..
Twilight is what brought me all of this. I’m sticking with it.
Rob needs to get more physical roles. To step outside his comfort zone I think. Brits have a problem with macho roles. If he can pull off that sort of role then he can do anything.
