Francis Lawrence has just confirmed on his twitter account that the Water for Elephants premiere will be taking place on April 17th 2011 in New York City and will be followed by International Premieres. April 17th is a Sunday. He also mentioned that Water for Elephants is not yet completed but soon will be. See his tweets below.

I’m from out of town but planning to attend premiere WFE in NY. Does anyone know which theaters are used most often for red carpet premieres and do u know if camping out is the norm for this type of event in NY? Or bracelets r handed out to fans instead? I’m getting ready to do travel arrangements and this information would greatly help. Thanks for any insite.
