First of all I’d like to start off by saying a great big thank you to everyone who has been donating items, donating money, bidding on items and passing along the word. You guys are phenomenal and thanks to you all so far if we tally the auction bids and direct donations we have a total of 3,333$!!!!! You guys rock.
Now to address the other issue. I’ve tweeted this on Twitter but I’m making a post here as well. Some people have been requesting to see pics of Schelmy husband as a proof that this is true. Here is our stance on this:
1) We will not be posting them. They are very graphic and you are asking us to post very personal pics of this family. This family can barely bear to look at these pictures right now much less see them posted on the net.
2) I have personally seen some pics and they are VERY graphic.
3) I trust Shannon with all my heart. She’s been part of ToR from the start helping us out. For people who don’t know, Shannon is one of the reasons ToR is still running. When we went to self-hosting the site cost 250$ USD to run per month and almost brought us down. Shannon personally donated 50$ a month to ToR to help us run the site. So Shannon is part of the reason why you still have ToR.
4) I know Shannon personally we have met before. She is one of the most generous, loving persons I know.
5) We posted about this when it first happened when we had no idea there was ever going to be a need to raise money for her.
What we and @Schelmy are willing to do is post a copy of the hospital bill (all personal information and hospital information blotted out). So you have concrete proof that it is real and not a joke.
Here are 2 of the hospital bills. As you can understand we’ve blocked out all personal information. They’re still waiting on a 3rd bill.
Thinking of Rob 
Not that I ever questioned the motives as I have bid on several items and will continue. Since I have been watching/using/enjoying the ToR website/FB/Twitter I have found you to be faithful to Rob and being very professional about what you post. You keep letting everybody know you aren’t Rob and not posting papz stuff. For that I thank you. It is with this integrity in mind that I never questioned you. However for those that do question you I suppose you have to do what you must. Selfishly, you have many wonderful things up for auction, that alone should be satisfaction enough as many are hard to come by.

I was actually sickened to have to read this explanation. This site is known for its tremendous generosity and big heart when it comes to someone in the fandom being in trouble. Everyone should have such wonderful people in their corner when tragedy strikes. If my circumstances were different, I would be right there bidding with everyone else. I applaud ToR for everything they are doing to help this family and wish them all the best! God bless!
I find it incomprehensible that you have to justify what you are doing here. It never even occured to me that you weren’t telling the truth not for a second. I am sorry girls that even something as good as what you are doing for Shannon has to be scrutinised and your integrity doubted. I hate to think what Shannon and her family are going through at the moment and to see the kindness of the fandom must have lifted their hearts. To all you naysayers out there… get a life and grow up. Don’t question the kind heartedness of others just because you are jealous that you didn’t think of it first.

I am so sorry she has to face this stuff as well as take care of her husband and kids not to mention figure out how to pay medical bills. As far as I’m concerned if ToR supports it, I trust it 🙂

As a «new-born» in the Twilight/Pattinson world, I’ve googled like a maniac for the past 2 months or so (remember yourself when you started to be «obsessed» with THE MAN ???) and your ToR site is my absolute «coup de coeur» !
Like it’s been said, it is for the respect you show for Robert Pattinson, the area free of pappz, not to mention the humongous amout of posts and pics and creativity, and also the mix of professionalism and humour when you do your posts/comments, etc.
I do not know you personnally, but the gut feeling is good and right when I read you. Good humans, that’s what I feel… As I’m -OMG already- 40 and something (lots of the something, bouahhh !) j’ai vu neige as we say in french, and to me there is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind about what you guys are doing. Thank you for it. Keep on rocking, we are behind you !
