Weekly Roundup of Pics and Quotes of the Day   2 comments

Here’s the weekly round-up of pics and quotes of the day that we post on our Tumblr.

‘I’m fiercely protective when it comes to my family and friends.’
Robert Pattinson (Seventeen Brazil interview)

More after the jump!

I always feel guilty about everything; that’s quite similar to Edward. And, I don’t know, he always thinks he’s doing the right thing, he always thinks he knows what is going on and I never feel like I know what is going on or doing the right thing! – Robert Pattinson (Empire Online interview)
But um, what’s its contribution to the culture? Well one of the main things, which obviously the books did but the movies helped, was just getting young people reading again. Harry Potter started this thing, but anything which gets kids reading, it helps. As soon as you start reading one series then you start reading a bunch of other stuff. (Empire Online interview)
I guess I’m happy to move on, but it was nice to have good closure. I found Edward quite a restrictive character but in Breaking Dawn he kind of loosens up about everything. (Empire Online interview)
You know it’s not because of me. When I wake up like … I know it’s the character they fantasizes about. It’s a thing they’ve created in their own heads. So, it’s an interesting thing, you get completely detach from it. (Breaking Dawn press junket – Paris)
It’s incredible. It represents something amazing. It’s mind blowing. (On having his handprints immortalized)
now I got a sort of alter ego where I can deal with huge crowds and stuff. If you go acknowledging all your insecurities and all the other problems in your life when you’re dealing with whole crowds, you’d go totally crazy. (Singapore’s Today interview – 2011)

  1. I feel sorry that Rob thinks people are in love with his characters and not him as a person. He is a nice genuine guy, always willing to stop and talk, sign autographs and have pictures taken with his fans. He then has the problems with the media hounding him at every opportunity, which is an invasion of his privacy. He has a great talent and I wish he would give himself credit, as we love him for being a normal nice person.

  2. I totally agree with you Alyson ! And Big Thanks to all of you at ToR for your -always – grrreat job ! Have a good Sunday 🙂
