Weekly Roundup of Robert Pattinson Pics and Quotes of the Day   10 comments

Here’s the weekly round-up of Robert Pattinson pics and quotes of the day that we post on our Tumblr.

“I find it really hard to watch [my own] stuff although I watched Cosmopolis and because it’s so stylized I found that not too hard to watch.”
-Robert Pattinson

More after the jump!

“I think even if someone says that something is good you’ve got to be pretty dumb to let your head get big, especially now when everything about your life is reported. I don’t understand people who still have a big ego who are actors. It’s like, everyone knows who you are, everyone knows you are just a vain moron, (laughs) and that’s what every actor is. (laughs)” -Robert Pattinson (In Their Own Words – 2012)

“Er no, I think Dan could steal anyone from me. If I was a girl I would pick Dan!” -Robert Pattinson (when asked if he would pick himself or Daniel Radcliffe)

“I’ve met traders before, but in their own environment — everyone’s extremely happy, which is not what I expected. It doesn’t seem stressful at all. They were all excited about seeing who was going to ring the bell this morning. They had the American gymnastics team closing it that day. It looks like a really fun place to work.” -Robert Pattinson (On the New York Stock Exchange)

“Weirdly, I went to the bar the other day and there were a bunch of people protesting some 1% thing. I drive this kind of [junky]-looking truck sometimes because I started surfing — it’s this 2001 Silverado I bought off of Craigslist for, like, $2,000 or something. So I was hiding in the back of the truck when I saw the protest thinking, ‘I don’t want to get involved in this.’ When the protesters saw us, they were like, ‘We’re not even shouting at you. You’re driving this piece of …. You’re not part of the 1%.” -Robert Pattinson (In Their Own Words – 2012)

“I think Eric is confused between genuine power and ego. He’s mixing the two up. I think a lot of people in that job find that empathy is a weakness, so he realizes that it’s a strength. I’ve read things that describe Eric as a monster, but I always thought the story was a hopeful progression.” -Robert Pattinson (On Eric Packer)

“The day before the film was released, I was just sitting in Leicester Square, happily being ignored by everyone. Then suddenly strangers are screaming your name. Amazing.” -Robert Pattinson (Explaining the big change in his life after Harry Potter)

“Like I can literally walk onto a set and have absolutely no idea, I’ve done all of my preparation or whatever and have no idea what’s going to happen until I open my mouth at all.”

  7. I feel sorry Robert thinks actors are morons. They are if they let their egos overshadow their ability to transport us all to another world. Actors are artists, like writers, musicians, an so forth. They can even become one with the character they’re playing and that’s what has happened to “Twilight”. We all have fallen in love with this story because it gives us hope that true love does exist. Some of us are mad that the actors, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are not going to live happily ever after as their “Twilight” persona. They’re not going to get married, their together to promote a movie, art. But they are far from being morons. “Twilight”, as many other epic movies, will live in our hearts and it will go on from generation to generation, as has “Titanic” and other classics that has gotten the best of us and has left their trace to follow. This is how I feel. The story has been told as I read in an article where Kristen Stewart expresses her peace of mind of saying goodbye to the franchise. It’s bittersweet but we all have to let go.

  8. I think Rob meant that actors who let all the adulation go to their heads are “vain morons”. He does not take it at all seriously and has managed to stay grounded. He sounds like a lovely man – I was in Barnes on Saturday during a trip to London and probably walked in the same places he hung out in when he was younger!
