Is Robert Pattinson shy? The ‘Twilight’ star offers fans everywhere a glimpse into his mind on Wednesday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
On the program, Ellen comments that Rob seems more at ease acting than chatting on a talk show, and she says she thinks he might be shy.
“I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying,” Rob replies. “I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth.”
“Being spontaneous?” Ellen asks.
“Yeah, being spontaneous or just thinking. I have a problem with thinking… Thinking in real time,” he explains.

The Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Ratings Administration released their weekly ratings bulletin this morning, which included a rating for the highly anticipated third part of The Twilight Saga.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse received a PG-13 rating for “intense sequences of action and violence, and some sensuality.” Both Twilight and New Moon were PG-13 as well, but for slightly different, and somewhat telling, reasons: Twilight garnered its rating due to “some violence and a scene of sensuality,” while New Moon earned it for “some violence and action.”
Confirming what the most recent trailer suggested, Eclipse’s rating indicates that the action quotient has been ramped up compared to the first two movies. It appears that Eclipse’s marketing will try to build on this in order to attract action-seeking males who have been unmoved by Edward and Bella’s love story up to this point. At the very least, more action may serve to make the movie more tolerable for the males that are dragged to see Eclipse.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens Wednesday, June 30, and faces M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender over Independence Day weekend.

We’ll get to Robert Pattinson & Co. in a second, but first this: If you think the Betty White parade ended at Saturday Night Live, think again.
Hollywood’s 88-year-old It Girl has been nominated for…
an MTV Movie Award!
The funny lady’s work copping a feel of Sandra Bullock’s boobs in The Proposal is up for Best WTF Moment. Her competition includes Bill Murray as a surprise zombie in Zombieland, Isabel Lucas’ transformation in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Megan Fox’s lovely vomiting of a gross black ooze in Jennifer’s Body.
Ken Jeong is another nominee for his hilarious naked trunk surprise in The Hangover. “I am so honored and very humbled by the nominations,” Jeong said in a statement. “Thank you to all the fans that voted for me and my penis.”
No word yet if White plans to thank Bullock’s bosom.
Twilight Saga: New Moon is up for Best Movie. And while we’re sure our fave vampire sequel has the support to win, it’s got stiff competition from the other nominees: Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Hangover. Voting for Best Movie actually stays live throughout the live awards show telecast on June 6 at MTV.com.
Now, let’s all promise if we see Rob Pattinson hanging with Betty White, don’t go hatin’ on the Golden Girl. We’re sure they’re just friends.

It’s certainly a good move for him to make. I remember reading the book of Bel Ami in my French classes at school and Rob’s character, the fame hungry Georges Dulroy, is a million miles away from icy Edward Cullen. This is the story of a social climber, a Parisian nobody who works his way up the financial ladder by being the arm-candy of frustrated housewives. It’s a great role.
And, of course, it’s a role that he needs to be a success to get away from that relentless curse of the franchise star – type-casting. As Zac Efron attempts the same thing – turning down the teen-tastic Footloose in favour of moody drama Charlie St Cloud – both guys face a battle with the media over whether they can be seen outside of their blockbuster bubble. Both, I reckon, have the talent to pull it off.
More importantly, they’ve also got the looks. Whilst Star Wars leading man Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) struggled to find other hit movies it was his decidedly sexier co-star Harrison Ford that hit the big time. Ditto Eilijah Wood and Viggo Mortensen from Lord Of The Rings. The jury’s still out on exactly who will break out of the shadow of Harry Potter although maybe R Pattz, as the former Cedric Diggory, has already claimed that prize. With upcoming movies co-starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz (Unbound Captives) and Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz (Water For Elephants) he’s certainly got the cream of Hollywood on his side, with those projects reeking of awards potential.
Even if they do what Rob’s recent pic Remember Me did – ie. disappear without a trace – then I still think that the guy’s got the talent (and cheekbones) to do a Johnny Depp and, aged 40, find himself the toast of mainstream Hollywood with a wayout role in some Disney blockbuster. Don’t forget, Depp’s movies were generally only cult hits until Jack Sparrow came along.
So have another look at these Bel Ami pics and remember this moment. Come 2030, that guy you’re looking at now could be starring as a rum-swigging Jack Jnr in Pirates Of The Caribbean 12. Arguably a better career move than Taylor Lautner, recently signed up for Stretch Armstrong, a movie based on a plastic toy. Savvy?
