We’ve done it before for the Water for Elephants and Breaking Dawn premieres and we’re doing it again… We’ve made a sign for those of you who will be attending the Bel Ami Premiere in Berlin! You can print it and bring it with you to the premiere! It’s made by DreamySim1. Tip: take a marker (dark and light) with you and something hard for underneath the sign so Rob will be able to sign easily.
We’d love to see a pic of the signs at the venue and/or signed

Telefilm Canada boosts titles at EFM
Canadian producers are riding a surge of industry buzz and critical kudos at the European Film Market with hopes that a slate of pics from seasoned Canuck helmers and newcomers will keep the momentum going in 2012.
At the forefront is Telefilm Canada, which brings its sixth edition of Perspective Canada to the mart. The federally operated film funder will showcase a selection of features for the market, including David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis” and Sarah Polley’s “Take This Waltz.”

Perspective Canada at Berlin
The sixth edition of Telefilm Canada’s Perspective Canada at Berlin will take place at the European Film Market (EFM), which runs concurrent with the Berlinale. This showcase is designed to increase the international exploitation of Canadian feature films and spotlight Canadian companies, films and talent for the more than 6,900 potential buyers, sellers and producers from over 90 countries accredited by the EFM. The same initiative is held annually at the Cannes Film Market. This year, 19 Canadian films will screen at Berlin, the largest selection ever presented at a Perspective Canada event.Sales for films still in production are also encouraging. To date, Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children is presold in over 40 countries and counting, and David Cronenberg’s eagerly awaited Cosmopolis is presold in over 25 countries, including Italy and Portugal, and will travel the world.

The 4th segment of the ‘Twilight’ – Saga is opening in theaters. B.Z. has met Robert Pattinson before the Berlin premiere.
Mr. Pattinson, you were in Berlin for the movie ‘Water for Elephants’ only in April. Doesn’t the city get boring for you?
Not at all! I love Berlin and I’ve also been on holidays here a few times. The first time was when I was 18, which has been a while. I was especially impressed with the eastern part of the city because there were galleries everywhere and bands played for free. I don’t know if it’s still like that now, but you could do a lot with little money back then in Berlin.
Nowadays you probably won’t be able to walk through the streets of “Berlin Mitte” and Prenzlauer Berg anymore without being recognized…
No, I haven’t had that experience yet. If you know whereto, and I’m certainly not going to spill that now, people will let you be. Especially in the eastern part they’re too cool to talk to me. [laughs]
