SC: Hello Rob, what did you learn from your experience filming Twilight?
RP: I learned to put things into perspective, that the circus surrounding an actor’s life is fleeting. You can be worshipped one day and hated the next. For now, the craze around Twilight is still there but I’m not naive, a few months after the last movie is out, people will have moved on. Our replacement is already here. I’m thinking mostly about The Hunger Games actors. In the end, you’re still happy to have played Edward, right?
Rob: Yes, he’s an extension of myself, like a good friend. He helped me learn more about myself and I will be eternally grateful. I grew up though and if tomorrow Stephenie Meyer writes a sequel to Twilight, I’d gladly read it. I don’t think people would like me reprising the role. I’d be too old to play him again.

*SCANS* Robert Pattinson Interview in Star Club magazine – France 2 comments
New/Old Rob Interview from Cannes Leave a comment
The interview is from tha Greek newspaper “To Vima” and was given to film critic Giannis Zoumboulakis.
Blame it on the typecast of pale, out of this world vampire that accompanies him. I don’t know what I expected from Robert Pattinson, but what I got up close was a totally grounded behavior, a warm smile (maybe little shy too), an inherent gentleness. Pattinson was at Cannes Film Festival for David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis”, a movie where he gave his most demanding performance, which he admitted didn’t know how to handle at first.
He asks for mineral water. He is immediately asked about his prostate. It’s not a random question – prostate is connected to Pattinson’s part in “Cosmopolis”. “I wish I knew” the actor says (after a while) when he realizes the reason he is asked this “anatomically indiscreet” question. “I have to have it examined. People say is very important – everybody talks about it. I never exactly understood what prostate is anyway” he comments.

Juliette Binoche mentions Robert Pattinson in an interview with The Guardian Leave a comment
From The Guardian:
You had a cameo in Cosmopolis, playing Robert Pattison’s art dealer and lover …
That was great. I was astonished to see how much of a cinephile Robert was, and how ambitious – he wants to produce and has strong views of what he wants to do in the movie world.
New Robert Pattinson Interview: talks Breaking Dawn Part 2, Fame and Success 3 comments
This interview is featured in ‘Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner – In Their Own Words’, that contains interviews dating from 2008. Here’s the newest one with lots of new quotes. Rob talks ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’, The Twilight Saga, 50 Shades of Grey, fame and success.
Looking extremely casual in an old t-shirt, baseball cap, faded jeans and a little unshaven, Pattinson, 26, looks happy and relaxed to have the movie that changed his life behind him. He talks a little of what’s to come post-Twilight, as well as addressing the rumours about him playing the lead in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. He will next star in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.
Q: So now that it’s finally over, let’s go back. What was the most touching moment for you in the movie, including the one we haven’t seen yet?
Out of the whole series?Q: Yeah, what touched you the most and the hardest one?
Probably that a bit in the first one, just when Bella is in the hospital, and she says, ‘Don’t ever leave me again,’ and I say, ‘Where am I going to go?’ or something like that. I still think that’s kind of my favorite scene in it mainly because it was so different what happened after it, and we made up the lines there and that’s how different the shoot was. Like every movie afterwards, the idea of making up lines, is kind of just unheard of and so I loved that bit. But the hardest was probably the birth scene in the first part of this one mainly because it was hilarious, and it was supposed to be really serious. (laughs) And there was one shot where we had to look directly into the camera, and I was crying with laughter, and I’d have to go down and chew the baby out and I would like, I was stopping tears from coming out of my eyes, and it looks like I’m crying in the thing. And I’m not supposed to be able to cry as a vampire and I’m like crying in the scene but I was laughing.
