AUDIO/SCANS: Reese Witherspoon talks about Robert Pattinson   Leave a comment

From Glamour Magazine (France)

Is Robert Pattinson really that pretty in real life?
He’s not too bad, I know you’re disappointed but it’s the truth. He’s smart, low profile and ultimately shy. He’s really funny too, we couldn’t stop laughing throught the whole shooting.

His hair is really short in this movie!
I know! All the Twilight fans are furious. What he’s living right now, I’ve never seen that before in my life, and it happens wherever he goes. It’s not just girls, either. I’ve seen 40 years old women screaming his name at the other end of the set, pressed against security fences.

*SCAN* + Translation ‘Water for Elephants’ Review in French Magazine   13 comments

Translation: Thanks to LeRPattzClub

Unbalanced talent among the lead actors and a predictable story.

With this film, we wanted to know if Robert Pattinson could play something different from his tortured vampire role in which he only displays 2 emotions througout the Twilight saga. The answer is yes: actually he can play a tortured veterinary student who only displays 2 emotions throughout this film. He is not strong enough to face Christoph Waltz who displays anger from the very first time we see him or even the sweet Reese Witherspoon who is so charming. Pattinson can’t really express anything with this love triangle set in a circus during the Great Depression. It ‘s lacking passion and sensuality to trigger off any emotions.

17: What did you like about the book and this character?

Robert Pattinson: I read the screenplay before the book and thought ‘I can do this. ” I thought there was something very attractive and touching about the story. The next day I read the book and I loved it.

17: How is the relationship between Jacob and Marlena?
RP: The relationship between Jacob and Marlena are complicated with time. Marlena is trapped in an abusive marriage. I think Jacob is a very good and not wanted to play as someone who comes into the world of the circus – that has been created from scratch by August – to steal his wife and destroying their way of life.
