  1. So.. Is this good? Bad? *clueless* I live in a country with less then 5 million people, I don’t get this shit.

    • The figures so far as very disappointing, especially with the Remember Me Saturday drive that was done. But the numbers above are only estimates and final figures, hopefully, will be better when they are released tomorrow. Overall, very disapointing fan support on this one.

  2. But remember, this was only released on 2000 screens. Eight million is pretty good for that few showings. Had it had a wide release, these numbers would have been higher.

  3. I think part of the problem is that you don’t get a feel for the real story this movie tells in the previews. I don’t know if Romance is the right Type to put it under because its so much more than that. But I think it will pick up when fans spread the word.

    • .

I agree with that the previews DO NOT give the right perspective on this film, which is sad. I thought that that was part of Robert’s job to make sure it was marketed properly. BUT. don’t jump on me yet. I feel the POWERS THAT BE.. meaning Summit have a huge stake and with Robert in it wanted it marketed as a romance figuring more “girls” would come. Another reason it was rated PG-13. I think the sex scenes were perfect though.. not overly done.. to go to far really would have taken away. The point was made.

There was a women the 2nd night I went and she brought her 3 or 4 year old and I was hoping it was her nap time.

Does anyone know why it was a limited release?

      • Jade: Rob’s job was to make sure the finished product was the way he had envisioned. Not to control the marketing aspect of it.

But if it was only released in a little over 2000 screens (Jeez.. I don’t think we have even 1000 screens here LOL ), and I read that Alice in Wonderland for example, was released in over 4000, then it can’t be too bad?

I still can’t wait till it hits theaters here..

        • Thanks for explaining that for me. You know I listened to every one of his interviews that was posted here of the “junkett” day. I’m sure I obviously got confused or misunderstood what was said.

In our area we have 5 theaters and out of those 5 FOUR were showing Remember Me. That is one reason I
was really surprised to hear that there was only 2000 released.

Where do you live to have not seen it yet?
Still doesn’t answer why ONLY 2000 theaters?
          Thanks again for explaining.

          • I live in Norway 🙂 Population almost 5 million :p I have no idea why they chose to show it in no more then 2000 theaters, but it looks like that was smart? Considering there were many half empty ones..

The 2000 something number, I actually think I got here on ToR. Not sure, though..
