Jeff Rawle talks about playing Cedric’s dad in Harry Potter and working with Rob

In the Harry Potter films, you played Amos Diggory, dad to Robert Pattinson’s character, Cedric. Did you enjoy that?
Well, that was a casting problem for the films, you see. They had to find someone as good-looking as Robert to play his father, so they said, “Let’s get Jeff Rawle”” Robert seemed happy enough to go along with it – he’s such a sweet boy and has gone on to have fantastic success. We spent a lot of time together on set, and had great fun.

Asked what souvenir he might like from this studio museum, his eyes light on a costume from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, worn by the late Cedric Diggory (played by Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame).
“Rob’s old costume, now that would be worth a fortune, wouldn’t it?” he says.

Daniel also admitted he doesn’t think his fans view him in the same was as ‘Twilight’ devotees do Robert Pattinson because they have seen him grow up on screen.
He explained to the British edition of GQ magazine: “There’s more of a sexual energy behind ‘Twilight’ fans. Because people have mostly grown up with me, they tend to think of me as an older brother kind of figure. Whereas I think Rob is the sex symbol. And also, I guess, he’s out there more than I am, going to parties and things.
“I think everyone goes to more parties than me, so it’s not really a big competition.”

EW.com have been releasing a bunch of exclusive never before seen behind-the-scenes stills from the Harry Potter series, including this one with Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Head over there to check out the rest.

So, here we are. It’s perhaps the most highly anticipated and deeply dreaded duel not just of the Hogsmeade division, but of the entire Harry Potter World Cup as it stands: Cedric Diggory versus Narcissa Malfoy. Let’s just take a deep breath and dive straight into it, shall we?
Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Friday, July 1 at 12:01 AM EST, so make sure to start voting now.
(3) Cedric Diggory vs. (11) Narcissa Malfoy
What happened to Luna Lovegood? Whether she was defeated by pro-Cedric voters putting their support behind Narcissa or on Narcissa’s own merit is still a question that’s very much up in the air. The conspiracy, as it were, remains unsolved. But there’s little time left to mourn Luna’s loss. With voting ending in less than 36 hours, the duel between the late Hufflepuff hero and the Malfoy matriarch is bound to be intense. Will Narcissa’s potentially plentiful fan base come out and decimate Cedric? Or will a landslide victory for the deceased Diggory answer the lingering mystery of Luna’s defeat once and for all? It’s up to you, voters — personally speaking, I am very curious to see how this duel plays out.

From GlamourUK:
The Harry Potter films are coming to an end but how has the stars’ style changed over time?

This photo almost killed our Robert Pattinson crushes dead. Almost, but not quite. In 2005, the actor, who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, thought it was a good idea to wear leather trousers, with a velvet jacket. Hmm – and we’re going to try and ignore those shoes. Not even you, Rob, can carry off this look.
