A recent addition to “Sexiest” lists everywhere, Robert Pattinson and his messy mane have won hearts all over the world with his turn as veggie vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga. Those over 25 may roll their eyes, but the combination of plum roles in hit novels (see also: Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), a posh accent, musical ability and that enormous haystack on his head means half the teenage world adores him.
Most alluring as…Gotta be Edward Cullen, with all that restrained passion and the penchant for melting glances.
Interests include…He’s also a talented pianist and guitarist, and contributed tracks to the Twilight soundtrack.
Rivals in New Moon, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black are, in reality friends. Together, they reflect on the filming of the saga and on their new life as stars tracked by fans and paparazzi.
Both of you have very devoted fans. But have they become too intrusive?
Taylor Lautner: I believe that Robert and I have very different experiences concerning our relationship with the fans. As far as I’m concerned, I still credit them with Twilight. Without their support, the producers would have without a doubt replaced me for the role of Jacob after the first film.
Robert Pattinson: I remember that before the release of the first film, the fans hated me. On the internet I only read bad critiques of myself and it was really difficult to feel all this hate. Back then director Catherine Hardwicke had forbidden me from reading what people said about me on the web. I told her that it was my mother who sent me the links to the forums where they criticized me. Then she advised me to boycott all the emails that my mother sent me! [laughs] All that to say that the frenzy that I spark today doesn’t make me forget the horrors that I read about myself online.

He is shooting star and most wanted soul of this year. Since 23 yrs old Londoner’s role of Edward, the virgin vampire who’s fallen in love with human Kristen Stewart (!?) in massive hit Twilight, he’s getting movie role offers as well as marriage proposals.
In New Moon (in movie theatres from 7. Jan), he will have to divide ladies’ attention with Taylor Lautner. In the meantime, Team Edward fans can watch his portrayal of melancholic musician in coming of age comedy How To Be (available on DVD from 15.10.).
