Carter Burwell mentions Robert Pattinson & Breaking Dawn Part 2   4 comments

Carter Burwell mentions Robert Pattinson and Breaking Dawn Part in an interview with The Sag Harbor Express

At what point in the filming process will you come onboard?

Generally, I don’t actually write anything until a film has actually been shot. But, there are some exceptions.

In the movie I’m working on right now, which is “Breaking Dawn: Part II,” they needed Rob Pattinson and the actress who plays his daughter to play piano onscreen. I had to write this duet before they shot the film so they could actually learn the parts. Rob is a musician, so he prides himself on working out the fingering for these correctly.

Carter Burwell talks about working with Robert Pattinson

From Sonic Scoop

Cool. What about the fact that Breaking Dawn is a two-parter? Knowing you’re also going to be scoring Part II, does where the story goes from here enter into the picture at all for you? When you’re thinking of these themes?
Well, I’ve read the script, but I haven’t seen any of Part II yet. But I did have to write a theme that Edward plays on camera in Part II. Bill wanted to echo the “Bella’s Lullaby” scene from the first Twilight in the last part, and so I had to write a lullaby for that well in advance so Rob Pattinson could learn the fingering – he’s a musician and prides himself on being able to do that.

Robert Pattinson to Play “Renesmee’s Lullaby” in Breaking Dawn   3 comments

Carter Burwell confirmed that he had written “Renesmee’s Lullaby” for Breaking Dawn and that Robert Pattinson would be filmed playing it. I’m assuming this means it will pretty much be like in Twilight where you can see Rob playing the piano. You can see his tweet below. The twitter account was confirmed by TwiExaminer (Thanks Amanda!)

Carter Burwell : “Just wrote “Renesmee’s Lullaby”. Rob Pattinson will play it on camera this week.”

TwiExaminer: Yep @CarterBurwell has been confirmed as legitimate. Follow follow this wonderful composer!
