Short interview from The Rover press junket + new footage from the Maps To The Stars photocall and The Rover premiere. In the end a short interview with David Cronenberg
Here’s a short interview with Robert Pattinson and David Cronenberg about Maps to the Stars.
Warning it’s very short, only audio and in French. The interview stars somewhere around 6.22
Translation:
“There’s definitely that kind of ‘we don’t give a shit about anything apart from money’. People are like that in LA but there are plenty of people who don’t think like that and to be honest I’ve only had good experiences in Hollywood since I’ve worked in this industry. Of course, I’ve seen people lose themselves but I don’t think it’s Hollywood’s fault but due to their own nerosis. This place attracts a lot of crazies who leave even crazier. But really it’s really fun if you’re not nuts *laughs*”

During the Vanity Fair Party Rob talked to Variety. Not really new info/quotes though:
Studio Cinelive magazine dedicates an interview to David Cronenberg. Moreover there are two articles about Maps To The Stars:
In short: it says Rob will show more than his pretty face, that Cronenberg is going back to his roots, the cast is pretty good and that Julianne’s performance is probably gonna be the best out of all her already amazing performances.
Assayas mentioned Rob again in a different interview. This time with Studio Cine Live:
“These young guys deserved to be known. By the way, I’ll likely shoot my next movie with Robert Pattinson.”

“Maps to the Stars” takes aim at Hollywood excess, with an ensemble cast including a bleach-blond Julianne Moore playing a hysterical actress and Mia Wasikowska playing the mysterious, scarred young woman who suddenly appears in her life.
Although it marks the first time Cronenberg, known for “A History of Violence” and “Eastern Promises,” has made a film about Hollywood, he said he has been trying to make the movie — based on a script by novelist Bruce Wagner — for a decade.
“I’ve never really been obsessed with doing a movie about movie-making or anything like that, but in a way his script was not that. It’s about ambition and fear and desperation and a whole bunch of other things within the context of movie-making,” he said.
The film reunites Cronenberg with “Cosmopolis” star Robert Pattinson, who the director called “a terrific actor.”
“When we did ‘Cosmopolis,’ he didn’t really want to do it because his character was in every scene. He really wanted to be in an ensemble piece, where he was one of a great cast of actors,” said Cronenberg. “I said, ‘We talked about that and here it is. Here’s a perfect role for you.'”

-> In the DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION section of the file, David Michôd talks about casting Rob as Rey (page 6)
(…)
The next step was to build a cast around Pearce that Michôd felt confident in. The global success of Animal Kingdom opened doors for him in Los Angeles, and he was in the privileged position to be able to audition some heavyweights. Working with Casting Director Kirsty McGregor, and Lava Bear’s President of Production Tory Metzger, Michôd spent a lot of time reviewing the work of various actors, so by the time he auditioned Robert Pattinson he had worked out what he wanted for the character of Rey. Michôd had never seen a Twilight film and wasn’t overly familiar with Pattinson, but upon meeting together in LA, and after his audition Pattinson quickly became his favourite for the role. Recalls Michôd: “His performance in the tests was really great and real and moving. What I also liked about him was that it was really quite evident to me from our first conversation that he really wanted to do it.”
