What do you think of the casting for the movie of Water for Elephants?
I think Robert Pattinson is really going to shine in that role. He’s so dedicated. This was a rough-and-tumble shoot, and when I was there on the set, he’d be lying in the dirt for 18 straight takes in a row, and he would nail every single one. He’s a nice guy, and he reads. He always has a book in his hand. My family got cameos. I’m in a scene where Rosie [the elephant] is raiding a produce stand.

Possible UK Release Date for Water For Elephants 2 comments
Launching Films – Film Distributors Assosiation has the UK release date for Robert Pattinson’s Water For Elephants listed as 22 April 2011. All future release dates however, are subject to change and the schedule is updated weekly.
Also LeRPattzClub sent this info regarding recent Water For Elephants developments:
One our members get us a tip about WFE. We didn’t know which company would distribute the film in France and now we know it’s 20th Century Fox. During the “Congrès des Exploitants” ( a conference during which distributors come to show exhibitors some extracts of their upcoming films) , they apparently show the very first images of Water for Elephants. We don’t know exactly what it was and even if it’s just rush or images from a first version of the film.

The winner from 2009 , 20th Century Fox, started and gathered blockbusters for 2011 such as Narnia 3 to be released in December , Gulliver 3D with Jack Black or Rio,the future successful cartoon in 3D from the creator of the Ice Age which baffled and stressed the rivals ! There were also the very first images of Water For Elephant by Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I am Legend) and also from FA by Black Swan

There was much curiosity, especially among fans of Robert Pattinson, to know when arriving in Italy Water for Elephants, which also starring Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon. Now we say that the release date is on April 29, 2011, just two weeks after landing in the United States. “On ‘Water For Elephants,’ every day there would be, like, 50 people [staked out],” he recalled. “We shot in Tennessee for about a week and there would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn’t matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse. I’m proud of the movie, I’m actually sitting in the cutting room right now.”
Even though filming wrapped at the beginning of August, Francis said he’s not even close to being done with the editing process. “This is only my fourth week of cutting,” he said. “Then I just took a quick two-week vacation, and now I’m cutting. So I’m probably cutting all the way up to Christmas. I think it’s gonna be [a spring release], but it has not been confirmed yet.”
