I’ve been thinking about this most of the morning and having an internal debate with myself. As seems to be the case each time new pap pics come out and I have to post them. I don’t like seeing them, I don’t like posting them and I feel guilty as hell when I do. So for now, I’ve decided that the only pap pics that will be posted on Thinking of Rob are those taken on set or at events.
I don’t know if I’ll come back on my decision later. Maybe, who knows… But for now I stand by it.
This insanity has to stop somewhere… and yet it only keeps getting worse. Yet again this morning we saw pics that were taken through windows. I don’t like seeing pics of Rob when he’s sad, I don’t like hearing that Kristen was called a bitch, I don’t like watching videos of them being hounded, hunched over in cabs trying to hide.
So that’s why I’m taking this decision. I hope you’ll understand my position on this.

Awesome! I totally appreciate what you are doing… this insanity is unreal! I feel so bad for them… I get that it’s their job and all but they shouldn’t have to walk around in constant fear and constantly hiding!

Completely understand, babe. I hate seeing Rob so miserable in those pics, and to hear about ppl calling Kristen a bitch is just WRONG. Gotta go with your gut on this one, and I agree with you wholeheartedly. By posting them, we are adding to the demand. While I understand it’s part of being famous, it’s gotten to a degree where they are being forced to stay inside all the time. They chose this line of work because it’s something they love to do. In return, they are forced to live a life, essentially, behind bars and under constant scrutiny, and it’s not fair at all.

You are supported 100%. Some delusionoids will never agree; some may criticize for taking a stand. These are people who cannot see rationally. You are doing what you feel is in the best interest of your blog, the fandom and the stars we’ve grown to love so well. The least we can give them as fans is our appreciation – and their privacy! I say BRAVO!
FP totally agree with the stand you are taking.i hate clicking on a site and being bombarded with pics of rob/kristen and who ever else he may be with looking hounded uncomfortable and unhappy.its not fair on them and completely inhumane.so thank you for taking a stand and making me feel less guilty when i want to come on a rob site.

completely support your decision not to post them. most of us feel like crap when we see these pics as well, especially the ones through car windows – they are particularly bad.

I agree with you! I thought absolutely the same this morning when I saw those pap pictures. This stuff will keep appearing till we are clicking on those pictures of pursued Rob and Kristen. They need to get back their private life and only total ignoring of pap-stuff will let them have normal life. I realize that its impossible to stop people all over the world from buying magazines with “hot” pics of Rob who’s trying to hide his face from persecutors but at least we can try. And thats we can show our respect for him…
Bravo! I support your decision! Paps should give them a break and let them just be normal and have some fun. Most of paps should be jailed IMO.

Great decision, and I support it like all the others who´s allready commented on it. It just breaks my heart to see them get chased and yelled at. I feel much better visiting here when I don´t feed the paps with my obsession with him.
What can be said that hasn’t already been said by everyone else? I understand and respect you for taking a stand.
I *do* view pap pics but often feel bad for doing so, mainly cuz Rob typically isn’t smiling. (I miss smiling Rob SO much!) I feel so sorry for him. Can’t imagine what it’s like to live like that, constantly looking down, just powering though *sigh*
I’ve never really been a Kristen fan but I’d never call her a bitch (well, unless I was jokingly doing so, which I would make abundantly clear immediately after doing so lol) I won’t deny that I’m jealous of her relationship with Rob, whatever it truly is, but I don’t hate her for it. I *do* hate that this has affected her badly, too… and well, anyone else that happens to be in the line of fire *sigh*

I know I’ve said this many times before, but the solution here is to get to the root of the problem – the fact that these papz can do whatever they please because there are no laws preventing them from stalking, persuing, hounding, terrorizing, and invading the personal space of celebrities.
If they could at least have a law that says they have to stay at least 25, 50 feet away from the celebrity, that could be a start. If they violate the law, never mind a fine, put their asses in jail. What’s it going to take to get such a law on the books?? I hope it’s not something tragic as in the case of Princess Diana. Honestly, I haven’t seen such a frenzy about a star in years – or maybe it’s just because I’m only paying attention to Rob, but really, this is insane.
This is insane. There are no laws like this in Canada because it normally isn’t a problem here. The main problem is all the LA paps that have come up here.
Unfortunately I don’t think there are laws anywhere regulating the papz. Look at what happened in NYC. I just don’t understand how they can do whatever they want. And Vancouver is a pretty popular place to shoot movies and TV shows, so maybe they will reconsider.

I read that a ‘so-called fan” called her that name at the concert because she wouldn’t sign an autograph. It’s really sick when the fans start behaving like the papz – really gives us a bad name.

That’s utterly ridiculous! What right does that “fan” have to call her that? KStew’s autograph is just that, HER autograph. It’s her decision on whether or not she wants to give it. Maybe if she wasn’t being mobbed everytime she went out, she would be more apt to give out autographs. I feel sorry for the Twilight stars, they can’t go anywhere or do anything without risking permanent retina burn from all the flashes.
Girls – you know RPAU’s feeling on this – we support you 100%. The insanity must stop. Rob (as well as the cast) is entitled to some privacy. I don’t buy the ‘he knew what he was getting into’ because there is no way he knew that his life would become this. He’s Robert Pattinson not Edward Cullen – doesn’t have the ability to read minds! @Maria in CT – the law should be not to just stay away from them for 25 – 50 metres because they will just buy better super lenses, but they should not be allowed to make money from the photos of them in personal time without the celebrities inherent agreement. Oh and of course it’s not just the papz but those ridiculous tabloid magazines. If you or I were stalking, harassing and annoying another individual – be it celebrity or not – we would undoubtedly have a restraining order placed against us and like you say – jailed or fined if we breach. I could go on and on (like the girls know), but I won’t.
I agree. So why are the rules different for the paps? Like you said, if it was us, we would have a restraiting order against us. My suggestion about the 25-50 feet was just a thought – a beginning – something – anything – to set some parameters.
And as long as people can’t differentiate between Rob & Edward and as long as magazines will pay through the nose for a “money” shot, and until all the “Twilight” movies are all released – this won’t stop.
I just have to really give kudos to the fans who post here. I look at a few other web sites and I like to read the comments to see what people are thinking. That said, I really want to say something. And I really, really don’t want to sound snobbish at all, because I couldn’t be further from that. But this site has some highly intelligent fans running this site and also fans who post very well thought out and articulate comments. The people who post here can actually spell, lol, and they actually know what they are talking about. I literally shudder when I read some of the comments on other sites. (Maybe we’re just all a lot older) 🙂

GOOD FOR YOU!! As much as I love seeing pics of Rob, I also am tired of seeing Rob sad. If it is at an event maybe he will be smiling. If it is with a fan, who he agrees to take pics with, maybe he will be smiling. I cannot image what his life has become, and I agree completely with you decision. We had to show him some respect. I Love you FP, keep up the great work you do.

I admire him too much to make him unhappy with all of the PAP pix.
If I continue to follow the PAP pix, it makes me an accessory to what they are doing to him. He’s clearly a sensitive guy, an artist, and we should back off and give him his life back. He’ll thank us for it.

Not to change the subject here (maybe you could start one), but it’s kind of along the same vein…have you seen the last 2 covers of OK?? I couldn’t believe the last one and the new one continues with the same “story”. Happy to say I did not buy it. How are these magazines not held accountable for putting a blatantly false story on the cover? The average person who sees this in a store is probably going to believe it. And I’m one of the few who is probably all for Robsten, but come on…how do these people sleep at night writing all these lies and filling the cover of a magazine with them? Can you imagine one day waking up and seeing the front page of the local paper with a story about you that is completely made up? Ok, done venting…time to get ready for work…
