“Eclipse” is certainly going to have some high-octane action scenes in it, which means that the entire cast had to train in order to get their bad-ass on for the flick. While Taylor Lautner had been hitting the gym for quite some time in order to play hunky werewolf Jacob Black, the rest of the cast hadn’t necessarily had that type of physical commitments to make to the “Twilight” franchise until the third film.
Elizabeth Reaser admits everyone had a hard time keeping up Taylor — including Robert Pattinson, who, we have to admit, doesn’t really seem like the type of guy who regularly makes it a point to pump iron.
“Well Taylor, he’s the most fit person I have ever seen in my entire life,” Elizabeth recently dished to MTV News. “Taylor doesn’t even have to train. He can stand here and do a back flip for no reason using five percent of his energy he’s so fit.”
So, how did Rob keep up? Is he secretly some sort of gym fanatic? “I don’t think so!” she laughed. “I was impressed with Rob though. This stuff is really hard to do and we trained for hours and hours and hours and he worked really hard. And he’s a great actor, so he really committed to what he was doing and it looked great from what I saw.”
Elizabeth Reaser might play Edward’s adopted vampire mom, Esme Cullen, in “Twilight,” but that doesn’t mean she can’t find the “Eclipse” tent scene to be one really sexy moment. If Twi-Hards thought it was hot in the book, Reaser said, then they really need to see the flick, out June 30.
“The tent scene, I remember that being one of the hottest scenes in the books, so I’m excited to see that,” Reaser said when she stopped by the MTV News offices Tuesday (May 18). “I’m Team Edward, so I can’t relate to [Bella] being torn [between Edward and Jacob], but I mean, come on, vampires are cool! Wolves are super hairy and they smell disgusting, like dogs.”
Reaser said the tent scene ups the sexual ante in the “Twilight Saga.” “The tent scene is sort of a three-way — I mean, it’s a chaste three-way, but it is, nonetheless, a three-way,” she said. “So I do think that ups the sexiness factor in this movie, but I don’t know. The first movie, I thought, was intensely sexy, because they couldn’t touch, and to watch them fall in love was so sexy. And I love that, in the books, they all have great chemistry. So it’s fun to watch.”
Regardless of how chaste the tent scene is, Reaser understands that Twilighters are anticipating it. “I have no realistic idea of what excites people. I’m always surprised,” she said of what fans are looking forward to. “If I were a fan? I’m starting to sound like a sicko, but I would say the tent scene. I mentioned it like five times now. It’s getting weird. That’s my son! I’m happy we’re not really related, so it’s not that weird.
“I’m excited to see the action, like running through the forest,” she added. “I was running on the back of the truck at 30 miles per hour, so I’m excited to see that.”

Elizabeth Reaser talks about Robert Pattinson in a new interview with MTV. Parts about Rob are in green.
She may be the sweet, smiling matriarch of the most beloved vampire family in the world, but that doesn’t mean Elizabeth Reaser can’t still be a badass.
With just a few weeks remaining before New Moon hits theaters, we caught up with the 34-year-old actress sometimes known as Mrs. Esme Cullen during her final days on the “Eclipse” set. During an exclusive chat with MTV News, Reaser was eager to talk about ripping apart mountain lions, asking for Robert Pattinson’s autograph, and why she thinks one of her co-stars should have played Esme instead.
