New Eclipse Still! 6 comments
Here’s a new Eclipse still with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
“Next month, the Los Angeles Film Festival will likely welcome a new contingent: throngs of screaming girls. The annual event, which announced its lineup on Tuesday, will feature the world-premiere screening of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” the long-awaited third installment in the popular vampire franchise. It’s not exactly typical film festival fare, but organizers are hoping it will serve a larger purpose. “If we program a movie like ‘Twilight’ that draws audiences that might not otherwise attend film festivals, hopefully we’ll expose them to other cinematic experiences that we think are inspiring,” said festival director Rebecca Yeldham. Still, fans eager to see “Eclipse” before it hits theaters in July will have to pay for the privilege. Only those festivalgoers who purchase one of the festival’s top-level passes — which range in cost from $500 to $1,000 — will get inside the Nokia Theatre on June 24.”

"Breaking Dawn" Release Date Confirmed 1 comment
A Summit Entertainment spokesperson has confirmed to HitFix that “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will open nationwide on Nov. 18, 2011. It’s still officially unknown if “Dawn” will be broken up into one or, as rumored, two films. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all expected to return.
Directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s popular series chronicles Bella’s most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels. Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for “Dawn.”
The third movie in the series, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” will debut in theaters on June 30 nationwide and in IMAX.

Robert Pattinson Not Scheduled to Present at the MTV Movie Awards 1 comment
According to HitFix Robert Pattinson will not be presenting at the MTV Movie Awards. This does not mean that he won’t be present. Only that he’s not listed as a presenter up to now. Things can change.
Two days before the release of her new album “Bionic,” Christina Aguilera will be previewing some tunes at the2010 MTV Movie Awards. The pop singer so far is the only musical performance announced, while Aziz Ansari has been crowned host of the Los Angeles-based ceremony.
On tap as presenters are Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White, Vanessa Hudgens, Sean “Diddy” Combs and MTV favorite Russell Brand. Absent from the list are the stars of “Twilight” – Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner — whose presence dominated the broadcast (and the winners list) last year.

SCHERMI D’AMORE 2010
The award winners at the International Festival of Film Melodrama
AUDIENCE PRIZE – THE SCHERMI D’AMORE ROSE
The Schermi d’Amore Rose goes to the film Little Ashes (Great Britain – Spain, 2009) directed by Paul Morrison.
This year it was once again the audience who awarded the prize at the 14th festival dedicated to romantic films and melodrama.
Winner of Schermi d’Amore in 1999 with Solomon and Gaenor, which had its world première in Verona, Paul Morrison’s was among the five foreign films nominated for Oscars the following year. Now the refined British director has once again been recognized for his talent with a biopic which takes him from Wales in the 1910s (the setting for Solomon and Gaenor) to the Spain of the 1920s, for a tragic love story. The tormented relationship between Federico García Lorca (1899-1936) and Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), which the painter – after the Andalusian dramatist’s execution by Franco’s supporters – kept secret until the final years of his life. The Surrealist genius – played by Robert Pattinson before starring in Twilight – is portrayed during his university years, torn between his attraction for the author of Sonnets of Dark Love and his desire for fame and fortune, which would take him to Paris with the director Luis Buñuel (1900-1983), the third legendary Spanish figure with whom he would create the famous short, Un chien andalou (1929).
