The Twilight Truth About Robert Pattinson?

Given the frenzied popularity of the Twilight Saga and Twilight star Robert Pattinson leading up to New Moon and the increasing amount of Pattinson related stories, have you ever stopped to wonder whether the stories about Robert Pattinson are true? With so many stories about Robert Pattinson, the lead in both Twilight and New Moon plus the upcoming Twilight Saga Eclipse, do you really think everything you read about Robert Pattinson is true?

I mean, you have the news about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart winning Fantasy category awards at the Spike Scream Awards on Sunday night. As far as the veracity of that type of Robert Pattinson story, you can take a Scream Awards headline to the Twilight bank and cash it in for fact. But what about the hundreds of Robert Pattinson, Twilight and New Moon headlines we see each day and the “rumored” ongoing off-set Twilight romance saga between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? What about the many speculation Twilight pieces from those “anonymous” eyewitnesses who have seen Robert Pattinson in a variety of non Twilight public places and on the set of the Twilight Saga Eclipse? How about the famous “sources say” line we see so much in Twilight and New Moon reports about Robert Pattinson? I guess what I’m trying to wrap my Twilight Saga brain around is what Twilight and New Moon fans use as their truth barometer when reading a Pattinson story?
Having written a variety of stories about Robert Pattinson in recent months, and read hundreds more, I sometimes have to sit back in my Twilight seat and wonder how many Twilight and New Moon fans of Robert Pattinson actually believe stories that have absolutely no evidence to support some claims being made about Robert Pattinson. I mean, take the recent Twilight related headline about a few Vancouver restaurant workers who said Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart frequent the downtown eatery and that it’s obvious Pattinson and Stewart are a couple just by looking at them. Do you believe it outright just because someone says Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart “look” like a couple?
What I’ve been waiting for months to see is the Twilight proof and evidence rather than news from “anonymous sources”. Although the Pattinson and Stewart romance saga continues in the headlines, where’s the proof to the Twilight romance truth? I mean, the hard facts rather than speculation or opinion. If Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are a couple, great. But why do people believe for certain without proof? What if, after all of this Twilight time, Pattinson and Stewart aren’t a couple? Interestingly, given the amount of interviews Robert Pattinson has given in recent Twilight and New Moon months, at least those can be tracked and traced despite the many dubious Pattinson quotes that have also surfaced online. But Robert Pattinson got Kristen Stewart pregnant? Remember that one? Where’s the proof? Where’s the Twilight related evidence? Does Robert Pattinson want to quit acting? No, that’s not quite what he said. Is Robert Pattinson completely miserable? Not quite that accurate. Is Robert Pattinson a shut-in who can’t venture outside and is trapped by his Twilight and New Moon fame? Not quite accurate when you see so many photos of Pattinson out on the town in Vancouver.
So what is the Twilight truth about Robert Pattinson? One recent Pattinson headline that made me laugh was the interview quote on the latest cover of People magazine in which Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart revealed they’re just like a married couple. Although some Twilight romance trackers don’t want to believe it, that quote doesn’t say Pattinson and Stewart ARE a couple. Are Robert and Kristen having fun with the rumors and now fueling the Twilight romance debate? Who knows at this Twilight Saga point? With so many stories about Robert Pattinson hitting the web each day, do you really think everything you read about Robert Pattinson is true? Let me know, seriously, I’m dying to hear your Twilight Pattinson thoughts on this one.

I agree. He lives under constant scrutiny, and I can’t help but feel bad that so many ppl~I’m guilty of it, myself~are speculating about so many details of his life. I try to remind myself every day to just enjoy the man (insomuch as I can) and his work, and not worry about what he’s doing with his private time and in his life. 🙂
This was a well-written and pointed article. The only thing I’m really concerned with is that Rob is happy, whatever he’s doing or whoever he’s dating. I don’t believe 90% of the stuff written about celebrities in general, so as long as I hold on to the hope that he’s well, that’s good enough for me.

Somebody with some SENSE at last !
It has been shown on many an occasion, that the rags, sorry , mags, can whip up a whole story out of nothing and there really is no comeback for the likes of Rob and Kristen.
People believe what they want to believe.
I want to believe that someday, Rob will be mine ALL MINE! but I know it is a fantasy. Shame those dishrag mags and the people who hang on every single word written by them, can’t apply the same kind thinking.
If you buy the mags. you are buying into the absolute tosh you are being fed.

Larson Hill happens to be a great writer. I’ve used her work before to write my stuff in school about the Twilight phenomenon.
Very good article. Finally someone with some sense saying what is! I don’t believe anything I read about Rob Pattinson. Sometimes even if it comes out of his own mouth!!! Rob has a very, shall we say, strange? different? British? sense of humor and sometimes I think he doesn’t realize that everything he says, even if it’s meant as a joke will be taken seriously by all the Twihard fans. Especially all the young ones. Especially the ones that want so desparately to believe they are a couple because they are a couple in the movie. The magazines are all garbage and I don’t even read them. I might buy a few for the pictures, which keep getting recycled most of the time anyway, but that’s it. I refuse to buy the rags that out and out lie. And that’s most of them. They make up stories related to pictures that have nothing to do with the story they’re fabricating.
Anyway, kudos for this article. I hope everyone reads it and believes it!!! lol Don’t believe ANYTHING you read about Robert Pattinson. Hey, he said it himself, if you can believe that!!

No, I went through this when I was younger and was a Michael Jackson fan. You really can’t believe anything they are playing off us, they know we will look at his pictures and then they will run a story to make it seem like he is ready to jump off a bridge. It is rediculous. Rob is fine, Kris is fine. They will get through this. Bless them both.
This was an excellent article. It doesn’t really matter if Rob & Kristen are a couple. If they are good, if they aren’t it’s ok. The important thing is that they are happy…together or separate. Rob admitted he enjoys acting, but doesn’t know how long he plans to act. However, Kristen has been acting at a very young age. She also wants to attend college to be a writer. They both has similiar interests…music, acting, and writing. They may end up together, or not. They probably don’t know themsevles. Whatever the future holds for them, as long as they are happy.
Gee, I would like to tell this Larson that I think it is only like 14-yr-old girls who look at these headlines and believe them as gospel. I see their comments on youtube that indicate this, but in the Robworld fandom, who does? I am a long time observer of celebrity gossip, and if you actually read the article inside the mag. the article always backtracks, and meanders with vague insinuations and goes nowhere with what the headline “promises.” Larson implies this but doesn’t spell it out.
Unfortunately that’s not true. I’ve spoken to a couple of people in their 30’s and they were shocked when I said that the stories in those rags are not true. I know these people are not stupid, just misinformed or gullible. It’s kind of sad.
I agree with what both of you said actually. It frightens me what some of the people post on other blogs and especially on youtube. Many of them are obviously very young, some delusional, most of them can’t even spell, lol. But the casual fan or someone who is not as educated about Rob as we are, will believe whatever they see on the cover of the tabloids no matter how old they are. While I’m glad that someone wrote an article about the “truth about Robert Pattinson” I think it kind of glossed over the topic and could have had some more specifics in it. I think there are several people who post here who could have written a very well thought-out article about all the “truths” and lies about Rob and how he is treated.
I’m sure, though, that something that we can all agree on is that what we care about the most is that Rob is happy and healthy and safe. He is an incredibly gifted actor, a sweet, sexy man who is humble, funny, sensitive, adorable – just the entire “package”, if you will, in my opinion. He has captivated and captured the hearts of young and old

I really like this article! You have hit on many good points. I don’t believe much of what I read and half of what I see. There are so many doctored photos and vidoes that you really don’t know what to believe. I glad that someone has come out and stated the facts. I hope that you have just put the thought of ” Things that make you go hmmmm” in many peoples heads. Great work.
Totally agree!!!! I forgot about photoshop. It’s extremely scary nowadays when you don’t even know if the photo you are looking at is real or not. Sometimes you can tell, but sometimes you can’t. Now that is cause for alarm.
